And you know what's funny, the game is so fucking black and white, that when there IS color in the game, it's eye-jarring! Like watching Casablanca in its natural state and Lauren Bacall showed up in one scene with clown-red lips. And in case you think I'm pulling out the worse of the worst screenshots, here's the source. 85% of video games are above the median in quality.

The developers and their cheetos could be a starting point for the story. I'm looking forward to Mario Galaxy 2 because it looks like another breath of fresh air in the graphics department. Ordinary cars and trucks sitting around an ordinary looking dock with ordinary looking people doesn't make me excited to play the game. Make sure your sky is either gray and overcast or just bloom the fuck out of it. Remember, only kiddy games actually have blue skies. 85% of video games are above the median in quality.

It was like when we were complaining about the game Heavy Rain, even though it pretty much delivered on that promise. So, here's a little tip: if you like seeing things in games, don't buy games with visibility-reducing properties in their title. Harvest Moon? Clear skies and visually stunning! SHADOW of the Colossus? Don't spend your money on this. We're all learning!
