I was thinking this the other day when I was playing Mega Man 2 and 3. Now, the first few times I played MM3, I didn't have the manual so I had no idea
what the plot was about and didn't know Dr. Wily was supposed to be working with Dr. Light on a peace-keeping robot. There's this weird little cutscene
where Dr. Light says that Wily ran off with Gamma and I had no idea what that meant for years.
Now, I've got the manual and I've got everything straight and all, but does it still make sense? If Dr. Wily didn't build the robot masters in this game, then who did? And if Dr. Wily did build them, then why make it harder for them to collect the elements they needed to complete the robot? If he hadn't set up all those robots on all those mining planets, then Mega Man could've gotten the elements much sooner. Or better yet, why couldn't he have just had his own robots find the elements?
It really doesn't make any sense.
