that's unimaginative.
red thread: pretty run of mill soap opera, but the vengence theme made it more appealing to me. some theatre actors innit, which somewhere didn't turn it into a bloody boring Dynasty clone or to be more exact, a Masters Of The Sea clone. the ending was 2 "big reveals" back to back, ending in a double suicide. nice. 2 thumbs up , mostly for the bad end. i hate soaps with happy endings or no ending in sight. |

I'm feeling too blue to come up with a funnier title, and nobody else took the initiative. Plus I think it's cool that there have been that many
topics.

I just completed the 7th shine at the Hotel in Mario Sunshine. That area was an incredible test of patience on the level of something Sonic Team could have
come up with.

In contrast to what I was whining about here I decided it was about time to finish Bionic
Commando 360. In about two hours I took my percentage from 57% to either 70% or 78%, it's hard to tell which with the tiny text.
Man, there's this real asshole general (I forget his name) who occasionally phones in to condescend you, and after a particular bile spill where he tells Spencer he isn't worth shit and how he really didn't do that much when the Imperials from Rearmed attacked how it's going to be on Mr. General to clean up when Spencer fucks up this mission, I was left hoping that when Joe goes evil that general is the first guy he kills. I also got a phonecall from some "mystery soldier" asking me why I'm helping the guys who betrayed me. I'm willing to bet it's Joe with a voice changer.

Phantom Hourglass - Finished Maze Island. That was irritating, but it was a really satisfying win. I have 3 more hearts to get, and I know where to get them.
All three manage to involve mini-games, unfortunately.
Still not too sure about the gems. I can warp in and fight Bellum at any time, though. |

Last night I kind of started Torment. It was a toss up between that and Fallout, but I don't know where my Fallout disc is right now.
Incidentally, my brother estimated he finished Fallout about 50 times, and Fallout 2 possibly another 25 times. Anyway, I haven't made a lot of progress in Torment yet. You start the game in a supernatural morgue, and I've only walked around it. I think I've only explored a couple of who knows how many floors. So far, a lot of the game is making sure you click on everything. The most recent thing I did was find the morgue key, which will hopefully unlock the many doors in the area, and it was just on a random shelf (one of many). Before that, I escaped from the first room (had to find a scalpel and use it to kill a zombie who had the key), killed a bunch of random "dustmen" (often just humans, but obsessed with death; they run the morgue) but gainfully talked to two. One thought I was a zombie and stitched me up, which boosted my max hp. Another was the person in charge of the book that records every body that enters the morgue. He recognized me (I have apparently died before), but was the only dustman to realize I was unusual who did not threaten to attack or call an alarm. Uh, in BC360 I beat a tunneling machine boss. And there was really screwed up stuff going on in that fight.
First of all, the kind of thing looks like a giant dick. Second, Spencer starts the fight by saying "Whaoh, is that a long health meter or are you just happy to see me?" Third, Super Joe phones in and says "Spencer, there's no way out. You'll just have to fight it" and Spencer replies "My pleasure." Nothing weird there, but a couple times I went into the battle Joe actually said "You'll just have to fuck it" and Spencer went "Um..." although the subtitles didn't change. I am seriously not making that up. The first time I just thought I was hearing things and I was going into the Info screen as Spencer was getting confused so I just thought he was cut off. But a couple more failures later, Joe said "fuck" instead of "fight" again. |

Oh yeah, and I encountered a weird glitch in that boss fight.
You beat the thing by chucking cars at its head when it opens, and when you knock off half its health it falls on the ground. You grapple the eye, it flings you into the air, and you do a Death From Above into its eye and Spencer wails on it and it supposed to backflip off while it goes back underground. The first time I did this, Spencer got stuck on its eye and the machine dragged him into the its hole, and the game froze. |

the game looks better than I thought it would =
I'm playing as Taketsume Nakayama (supposedly well rounded in stats)
The game is stripped down to your chosen character sitting in his house.
choose status- and form and sword come up *I wont spoil the fun in finding the form that actually works--nor will I show what field to devote the days of training to. I haven't figured out if there is a cumulative total number for the max setting for a characters stats yet. I have already played to the point where training subtracts from my other attributes. After training in any of the tasks, the potential raises for that attribute
when battling in a dojo or match, after the day has ended, the base score for all the attributes increase.
I have achieved 75% of all the "moves" or sword swings. - I cannot figure out how to improve this faster--at first the dojo will pass on the moves
after you kill your sensei, the credits roll, and the dojo that was picked is inherited.----adds up to letters of challenge from other bushido showing up on certain days (which are unavoidable) I put off killing him for a while, but we fought every damn time I would win the tournament

Phantom Hourglass - I found a room that I didn't know about before. It was a maze of Rupoors - Rupees that take away money. Anyway, there were 4 treasure
chests, one of which contained a gem and another contained the "stone" railing, meaning I have a complete set finally. It only gives me 7 green
hearts (like when I had 2 golden parts), but I wanted to complete at least one before beating the game.
I still want to find at least 2 more gems before going after Bellum. That'll at least give me a level 2 fairy. |

I played a little more Planescape: Torment last night. I still haven't gotten out of the first area. I think I'm close to leveling up, though. Most
of my experience so far is from "quests"; I've only killed three or so enemies.
The key didn't seem to open as many doors as I had thought there were. I did meet a spirit woman who claimed we had been lovers. She told me that I probably needed a portal key to leave the morgue. I'm aware of those things from the AD&D stuff. I also got some note, which *might* be a key, but I stopped playing the game before I tried it out. Street Fighter IV: I got the PC version and have been playing some online matches, mainly using Ken and Ryu as their special moves are easy to pull off with a
keyboard. Number of rage quitters encountered so far: one.
Gears of War: Got to the fourth chapter on hardcore difficulty. I'm not really enjoying it that much as there are now enemies than can kill you with just one shot and their accuarcy is ridiculous. |

heroes season 3(?) episode 1:
sylar finally got to (not) eat the cheerleader's brain, and no one rescued her!?!? and sylar being sylar, why the heck did he not chop off her head and hide it somewhere so no one else could try to steal her powers?!?! hiro briefly travelled to the future to see how freakin' important the formula is, and saw ando killing future hiro with evil jedi lightning... that's actually a pretty lame way to die. i got a feeling i don't wanna watch this anymore. oh looky, the sneak peek into the next episode shows the good brownploitation doctor turning into spiderman(not a joke). fuck this shite. somebody bring back the tick(live action). i wanna see some fucking spandex and asskicking amazon chicks who aren't whores!!!! |

I savestate spammed my way through Shadow of the Beast and anyone who wants to tell me I suck for it can kiss my ass. Somebody on the design team didn't
realize they weren't making a quarter-munching arcade game.
Have I ever mentioned the final boss of this game is a giant foot?

I thought about getting Street Fighter 4 for PC but at $50 at Best Buy, it's not worth it since I'm not a big fighter fan. I was never very good at
them. Maybe when the price drops I'll consider it.

I solved the paper folding puzzle and got an earring charm for it. However, by itself, the earring does nothing; I need someone knowledgeable in lore to
explain it to me so I can use it.
This game reminds me of Shadowgate, both in the importance of clicking on everything, and also in terms of how much little progress I make each time I play it. I finally got further in Mega Man Legends; I'd been fumbling around for a while because I needed three keys to get into the final area, but I
simply couldn't find the last one, and none of the walkthroughs were particularly helpful regarding what I do. Apparently I needed to enter a warehouse via
a shutter, even though no other shutter has opened for me throughout the entire game. Groan. Still, it's allowed me to reach the final boss!
[update] Oh hey, finished it. Kind of a pity that I skipped the one movie scene that changed the whole story and thus made the conclusion and threat completely nonsensical. Oh well.

Jet Force Gemini
In the Quarry Gem you need to shoot gems into this vacuum (quickly) so it can start up a laser. It's no wonder the Tribals can't get it going - the vacuum machine is spinning around and only one Tribal (it appears) is mining the Gems, whilst the others are in need of rescue in the village (for some reason). Sometimes I must be shooting the gems in the wrong place as they fire off in some other direction. Eventually I succeed, but not without checking GameFAQs and YouTube and to see if I was maybe missing something to begin with. I then accessed the Lodge level with Vela. The last tribals that I would rescue turned out to be those on the falling platforms - I sacrificed a life to save them but thankfuly I got to them before we died. After the Quarry Gem I would have been so pissed if I had to go through this stage again.
Not too hot at games, and not much better at writing reviews!
