Critics are hating it; it's only got 20-something percent on RottenTomatoes. Ebert called it "a horrible experience of unbearable length." That's what you get for giving the first one 3 stars, you putz.
Michael Bay seems to not be able to grasp the idea that the Autobots and Decepticons all have individual personalities, and instead is only concerned about using them as either 1) centerpieces for over-blown, brainless action scenes, and 2) comedic fodder for horrible, soul-crushingly awful "jokes." Ebert says there's a part were a dog-like robot humps the heroine's leg. If you thought that your childhood memories couldn't be sullied more than by Bumblebee peeing on a guy, well, there you go.
It's also nice to see that, judging by the previews, they've decided to focus more on Shia LaBeouf's character.
