da dick wrote:Can't you take a joke? It's not like I meant it personally. I wasn't even really directing it at you. "Weeaboo" sounds like "Winnie the Pooh." I thought that was funny. I needed more words to fill in the rest of the song, so I used the "words da dick uses in every post" to fill in the blanks. That was just a result of the "flow" of the thread at that time.
He's weeaboo, weeaboo,
An existential little yankee all stuffed with angst,
He's weeaboo, weeaboo,
Yankee angsty indie old bear!
i still don't see how this fits in, since this was used by a yankee seemingly to make fun of me(not a yankee and not white) for ever using the word "weeaboo". online, i've never observed "weeaboos" talk about anything existential(the boring frenchy kind) or indie(music). i have observed white indie music nerds showing absolute disgust towards so called "weeaboos" and the sort of media they rave about.
greybob acted very much like a weeaboo at the beginning, and showed that he does have a lot of knowledge concerning weeaboo material.Yes, I'll admit to this. Alot of my early posts were really, really stupid. You can go see for yourself; I haven't gone back and changed any of them, despite knowing how embarrassing they'd be now. This is because I wanted to be able to have a record of my change over the time I've been here.
Maybe about 2 years ago, I was very much what you would call a weeaboo. I'll admit to that. But, since then I've been moving away from that, and finding my own idenity. I still like some anime and manga, but I've become disenchanted with alot of it. I actually used to believe that anime was somehow better than other forms of animation! Oh, how I've grown since then.
and he/she/it used such knowledge to pander to you guys by merely adding a bit of sarcasm, and blatantly/repeatingly making statements that can be summarised as "us better than them".I don't know if this sounds silly, but I really feel like I've changed alot in the 6 months I've been here. I'm not pandering to anybody. I've simply learned alot about myself, opinions, debate, and what makes things art. As for "us better than them," I've never though of any group of people as "them." With your repeated uses of racial and ethnic slurs, I don't know if you could say the same. I've simply come to realize that most of the internet is either A) stupid or B) insane. I'm sure there are other intelligent communities somewhere out there on the internet, but this is the one that I found. And I'm staying here.
that "song", coming from a guy/bot/whatever like him(???), is just plain absurd... or masterfully ironic since he and the evil one thinks it's funny."A guy like that"? And why do you call Tweeter "the evil one"? I know he doesn't like me, but I've never had anything against him. At first, I assumed it was just playful needling. After seeing how you react to the same sort of jokes when aimed at you, however, I'm inclined to think you really do think Tweeter is evil.
I don't know if these are aimed at me. But if they are, is name-calling really an appropriate response to a joke? Seriously? That's grade-school playground-level behaviour. Ever since coming here, I haven't really known what to think of you, da dick, but I did expect you to be at least a little more mature and intelligent than that.
oh, and biggus dickus, notti maximus and sweet fanny adams. i don't like using those names as much as porch monkey.
