Somewhat-related, I've noticed in the tracker that pretty much everyone who reads one of the sketches in that series reads the other three, too. If, for
example, one of them has 5 hits, then they all have 5 hits.

My laptop keyboard is getting worn. I can barely feel the little knobs on the F and J keys anymore for touch typing. Also, I think there's also supposed
to be something like 10-key functionality if the number lock is on, but the indicators for what keys work as 10-keys have completely worn away.

Checking out Random Hoo-Haas' Star fox 64
"Why'd They Change That" reminded me of something: In the released game, the boss of Solar is this magma monster with praying mantis arms. In
some kind of television advertisement for the game, it showed this boss slapping the lava to send a spray of it at Fox, but it had humanoid arms and hands, so
it looked more like that lava man boss from Axelay. Does this ring a bell with anyone else?

FO is telling me that she thinks so (and of course Celes). But she also said she heard that Terra might automatically show up on her own at the end.

Yeah, that's what happens. You can see the ending if you missed everybody else here, but basically after you beat Kefka, Terra randomly flies in and during the casting, it'll either show you scenery related to the
character like Doma Castle for Cyan, or alternate situations in the tower like Celes, Edgar, and Setzer all having to team up to lift that girder Sabin would
normally catch for Edgar.

There's a GameFAQs guide specifically for playing the game with just those three, the only characters required to beat the game.
If you think about it, though, that kinda destroys the whole "finding happiness in this destroyed world" thing they had going for them. |

find Shadow or Relm anywhere, so all I got were the floating heads over what looked like Thamasa's background in the ending.

I could have sworn I saw a commercial for a Buzz Lightyear action figure claiming to be the "most movie accurate Buzz yet" a while back. And I must
say, it looked AWESOME. Spring loaded light-up wings, laser, karate chop action, glow-in-the-dark... it even said it came in the spaceship box with the same
certificate of authenticity that was shown in the movie!!! :O I can easily imagine something like that selling out quickly and becoming a rare collector's
item, but wouldn't that just be the coolest toy in town? If it even exists... I only saw the commercial once. Maybe I was dreaming?

When I played through that game several years ago, I couldn't figure out how to get Strago out of that conga line near the Fanatics Tower, and nor could I find Shadow or Relm anywhere, so all I got were the floating heads over what looked like Thamasa's background in the ending. Shadow is hard to get in the World of Ruin and I'm suspicious his inclusion there was a last-minute fix since the dialogue doesn't change for him from Relm's dialogue, resulting in him being referred to as "her". Anyway, if you waited for Shadow at the Floating Continent, then he'll be in the Cave in the Veldt. Rescue him and then bet the Striker at the Colosseum (????) to get him to show up there as the opponent. Beat him and he joins. If you did not wait for Shadow, then Relm will be in the Cave in the Veldt instead. Rescue her and a little later in the game, you'll have to go through a maze in Owzer's House in Jidoor to get her to join. If you waited for Shadow, then Relm will automatically be at Owzer's House instead of at the Veldt Cave. Put Relm in your party when you go to the Tower of Fanatics and she'll wake up Strago and get him to join you again. |
