Some of the Oddities pages note some rather shocking racist caricatures in games, like that Square Tom Saywer game. Well, I noticed something similar in BoF

The Earth Shaman, Solo, is clearly a racist caricature! What the hell?
Then there's the frog people at SimaFort. "Frog" is a derogatory term for the French. The frog guy you get in your party, Jean, is stereotypical of many depictions of the French: he's laid-back, lazy, takes nothing seriously, and is a womanizer. There's also alot made in the game about the weird stuff the SimaFort...eans eat, like bugs and worms. The French are often mocked for their strange cuisine. Of course, the stuff with the frog people isn't nearly as bad as the Earth shaman.
Most of the transformations you can get by fusing with the shamans are pretty ridiculous, but there's a couple in particular that I find rather strange.
Spar is a rather androgynous character, but he's clearly noted as being male. But, if you fuse him with water (Seso), well, just look:
Does this game just have a bizarre sense of humor?
Then there's Rand. This is Rand normally.
So, you fuse him with a shaman, you think his ultimate form is going to be some bad-ass, giant guy...
