That might be the most f-bombs I've ever heard in 30 minutes. It's actually pretty good for a GTA clone, though, mainly because Tony Montana is more interesting than Rockstar's usual protagonists. Controls are solid. Every time you kill somebody, you can yell out a taunt to build your balls meter. Good aim also builds the meter. When it's full, you go into a psycho rage where you're invincible and your shots do extra damage. I also think that it's the most people I've seen killed in a game in 30 minutes. Yes, the game IS a sequel to the movie. It starts out with a ludicrous battle/escape sequence where Tony survives the attack on his mansion, and has to start over and rebuild his empire. Posts: 1275 (06/09/09 9:17 PM) More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I saw Clue and The Keep yesterday. Clue was enjoyable. Tim Curry totally steals the show. I like what they did, with the three different endings. ... The Keep is a rather obscure movie that never made it to DVD, directed by Michael Mann. It's about Nazis during WWII who disturb an ancient commune known simply as "the Keep," where a demon is kept sealed away. The interference of the Nazis frees the demon from his seal, and it spends the rest of the movie trying to get out of the keep (it can't leave unless a relic is removed from the keep first.) It's not too good, with poor lighting, grainy film transfer, and poor sound quality that makes dialog hard to hear (the faux-German accents don't help). Alot of the acting is pretty bad, with the exception of an appearance by Ian McKellan (and even his turn has some unintentionally funny bits.) Characters are flatter than pita bread, with most of them not even having their names mentioned in dialog! There's one redeeming factor: a decent soundtrack by Tangerine Dream. Too bad the sound quality kind of ruins it. It's a bad movie, of the sort that is unintentionally funny. It's something MST3K could riff on. The special effects are really bad and cheesy, too. More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	dark crusade: managed to play it online for once. got defeated horribly by 2 aggressive AI players, orks and chaos marines. the orks caused a lot more trouble but once chaos brought in their relic units, we were screwed as i didn't have any relics, and only had 2 strategic points. playing necrons, that means i have very little troops to throw at them. there was 2 other human players, but they got killed even earlier by the orkies... power of the horde? "We support Thaksin(& Manchester City)!" - go go, underdogs?

More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I actually had borrowed the Real Ghostbusters DVD set from DH and I got up to Season 4 and had to quit because of that slowdown issue in some of the episodes, combined with the bizarrely-bright colors, gave me headaches and nausea. I then tried to watch some of the Slimer! cartoons and that made me want to poke my eyes out. Season 1 ranges from "Eh" to "Great" and then there's this huge noticeable drop off in quality in Season 2, I think in the first episode where the Junior Ghostbusters are introduced. The biggest problem I had with them is that they don't get to do anything heroic. The girl is easily scared just by hearing one of the boys tell a ghost story, so of course she's going to be useless when they face a real ghost (not that the other two are any more useful). I kind of pictured this scenario where the Ghostbusters get themselves in trouble and these kids are the only ones resourceful enough to help, but they don't even do that much. It gets a little bit better eventually, but Dave Coulier just never really eased into that role as well as Lorenzo Music did. I also got to see Song of the South because someone I know had a version of it on VHS, though she said it may have been edited. It wasn't the supposed racism that bothered me so much as how happy and perfect everything turns out. Bullies and divorce aren't issues that are resolved as easily as this movie portrays. (And it's weird to me how the message is kind of saying, "If your parents are getting divorced, almost get yourself killed and they'll go back together again.") I liked the music and the animation (for the cartoon characters and segments) is nice, which is good typical classic Disney. I have a tendency to forget that this movie is where Zippty Doo-Dah came from because Disney uses it so much, and yet likes to pretend this film doesn't exist. Where can I find...a bagel?

I think I've only got stars left in Hazy Maze Cave, Tick Tock Clock, Rainbow Cruise (that's the name of the flying ship level with the magic carpet, right? I'm under the impression Smash Bros. Melee misnamed it) and maybe a couple of secret castle stars. Also, stuff happened in Midtown Madness 3. I don't remember what, exactly. I assume I'm meant to keep track of my progress by how many cars I have, but I only ever use the Mini Cooper. Still faffing around in that dungeon I already finished in Link's Awakening. All my Wii emulators seem to be screwing up at the minute, as my Kirby's Fun Pak save decided to disappear despite the fact my other SNES save files are still there, and I can't load my savestate in Rockman no Constancy, which is a real pain in the anus. Easily replaced though. I've just modded my Xbox so I might play the games on that, as I'm under the impression my Wii's constantly-overused SD card is just getting old and temperamental. That, or the Wii's emulators stink. Either or.

Man, all of the fusion transformations look pretty ridiculous. Also, this is one of those games that sticks all the interesting parts of the plot at the very first and the very last parts of the game. The worst offender, by far, of that sort of thing is Kingdom Hearts 2. I live on the internet.

I've not been playing seriously (Note: I've never actually finished either game.) In Super-Punch-Out!!, I've mostly been replaying the fighters individually in the time trial mode. I wanted to get good enough to knock them out really quickly. I managed to get Bob Charlie so that the second time he goes down, he stands up and says "Ooh!" and then falls right back down again. I used to be able to cream Aran Ryan really easily, too, but now I can't quite remember what I did. I'm working on it. You know what's embarrassing? After you get used to dodging the later boxers in the original Punch-Out!! as quickly as possible, and then go back to fight Glass Joe and try to dodge his slow punches that same way, you go face-first right into them. www.flyingomelette.com

I was also playing the Japanese Super Punch-Out!! out of curiosity for any differences. So far the only ones I've noticed are the Japanese text and the protagonist's voice is different (it sounds better in the American version.) It's weird that he yells in Japanese while the announcer/referee's dialog is still all said in English. It's pretty awesome considering I spent two dollars on it. Some gunfights, some drug dealing, a driving mission. Typical GTA type stuff, but I just like the Scarface setting. It does have some little touches that are nice, like arrows to tell you which way to drive, a map you can put place markers on, a good aiming system, etc. The driving is crazy unrealistic compared to GTA 4, but more enjoyable overall. Loathe Thy Neighbor was inoffensive until the fart joke at the end. Big Trouble was annoying. Walter Peck was just vapid and annoying instead of funny. And the "heart-tugging" just didn't work since you know Slimer's going to be alright. And why were Egon and Slimer showering together? Copycat was amusing. Loathe Thy Neighbor might be the third best, unless I'm forgetting something. (I don't remember the fart joke.) For Season 3, I remember The Flip Side and Poultrygeist episodes were the best ones (even though I wouldn't personally take Poultrygeist too seriously as far as continuity and canon goes.) Season 4's a huge shitpile and the best episode is one of the 15-minute shorts (Kitty-Cornered). I don't remember if the one where they get shrunk is Season 2 or 3, but I thought that one was okay, too. I liked the villains in that episode. And the short where the Ghostmaster General returns is another good one. There's another slight pick-up at the beginning of Season 5, then it drops off at exactly the 3/4 point of "You Can't Teach an Old Demon New Tricks".
