If I recall correctly, the prompts for timing Geno's special attacks were less clear than the other characters. I don't know if I ever knew if I was
doing it right.

I made it through Bean Valley to Nimbus Land.
Watched Conan's first episode of the Tonight Show. I thought it was really good for a first show and I'm glad that I'll be able to watch Conan again in general. I just can't stay up until 1:30 anymore, working these hours. Well, tonight I obviously did stay up that late, but you know what I mean. Anyway, a couple of small downsides. I don't think Andy was used appropriately, and Conan and Max didn't communicate at all as far as I norticed. The Ford Taurus bit was a little lame. Glad they kept the theme song. |

Help! In BoF 2, I just got one of the carpenters to start building me a house, but now I'm stuck, not knowing where to go, or what to do!

Never played BoF2. Sorry.
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Beat Chapter 4. I now have laguz! I did have another close call in the battle with one of my mages, but I also got a critical I needed to give her a lot of experience. She's going to be changing class soon, most likely. |

I marked out when I heard the theme song. I thought they'd get a new one. Pleasant surprise.

Help! In BoF 2, I just got one of the carpenters to start building me a house, but now I'm stuck, not knowing where to go, or what to do!It's been about a year now since I last played this game, but what did you do right before that? In other words, what major event besides starting Township? I think you take a boat from Capitan to the other side (assuming you did the part with the facehuggers and the terrapin boss in the well), and you can find a giant talking frog (Actually Jean) on the other side near the woods. He'll send you north to the witch's tower (Nimufu) to get the ring back from her that can break the curse she put on him. |

Got about 80 stars in Super Mario 64 now.
Also made my way to Catfish's Maw in Link's Awakening, and I guess I'm halfway through it. Clearly Link to the Past has spoilt me, both with its linear no-fannying-about dungeon progression and short and sweet bosses. I was not amused with the completely pointless ghost thing before I could be told where to go (why?), and now I have to find the second-to-last encounter with the skeleton guy before I can finish him off for reals and get the hookshot. He wasn't difficult the first time, he wasn't difficult the second time - just give me the damn hookshot, game! |

I think I was being too hard on Up! In my previous comments... It's actually a pretty good movie. Although I
really do think that it's been slightly overrated by the media, it's still better than pretty much everything
that's come out this year.

Clearly Link to the Past has spoilt me, both with its linear no-fannying-about dungeon progression and short and sweet bosses. It's possible to do a lot of the Dark World Dungeons out of order, though. |

And I think you might need to do the Link's Awakening dungeons in their linear order.
One thing that you can do out of order in ALttP that maybe everyone knows about is that you can beat Misery Mire without having to beat the Ice Palace first, and if you do, it makes the Ice Palace much easier. But I think there are other examples. |

Mario RPG... just beat Valentina and Dodo. The castle and boss battle were all extremely easy, so I must be really overleveled. I have the double exp.
accessory on Mario, who's at level 20, and the others are at 17-18.

BoF 2... I think I'm overleveled. I've gotten to SimaFort, and talked to Jean in the dungeon. Now it's time see the witch... again. But, I'm
mostly messing around with Township right now.

Buh, what did I mean by saying linear? I barely understand myself sometimes.
I think I meant that aside from needing particular items to reach certain areas (medallions, hookshot, etc) there's nothing holding you back from doing the dungeons in any order; unlike Twilight Princess, which threw so much unrelated shit at you between each level it was ridiculous. |

In Mario RPG, I just finished the Volcano. It still wasn't challenging at all, but I did seem to take more damage from the bosses than before. There were
rounds with the Czar Dragon where it was critical that I healed everyone or I would've gotten a Game Over. So I've got another star and it's
getting close to the end of the game. I think it's back to Bowser's Keep next.
I got the Lazy Shell equipment earlier. The weapon is great, but I can't really find a use for the armor. On Mario or Bowser, it would damage their attack power too much, and on Peach, it cripples her heal spells. |

In RGB I've finished Disc 4 of Vol. 2. Kind of left off on the bad note because I thought the one where the Ghostbusters go to Paris was really stupid,
although I did laugh out loud at Wintson's "people having to watch five hours of cursing French ghosts" line.
I also started Banjo-Kazooie. I got most everything in the first area, Mumbo's Mountain or something, but got kind of lost in Treasure Trove Cove. Because I'm feeling petty: Why do I have to watch Banjo's sister get turned into a monster for Save and Quitting? What, did somebody expect me to finish the game in one sitting? And I remember when my brother was playing Donkey Kong 64 you'd have to watch K.Rool laugh and pull out a gun on Donkey Kong Island for the same thing. |

I thought it was kind of cool that you got to see what would happen if the bad guy (gal) won in Banjo Kazooie. That's one thing that's disappointing
about having the good guy win all the time in Hollywood movies. When the good guys win, things just go back to normal. That's no fun. If the bad guy
wants to take over the world, what would happen next? Especially if the bad guy is supernatural. What spells could the Wicked Witch have cast if she had the
ruby slippers?
I think one of the few other games where you'd learn what would happen if you lost was Chrono Trigger (although you'd know even without the game over scene, due to time travel) The thing about the Donkey Kong 64 sequence is that it's not as funny as the Banjo one. |

Well, if they want to show me that for losing all my lives, fine. But telling me I lost just because I wanted to go to bed was a bit of a turn off.

I think they just wanted everyone to see the scene.
Also, I'm pretty sure you can skip that scene by pressing start.

Or just turn it off at that point.
Honestly, I was really surprised when Kefka "won" in Final Fantasy 6. I know the game itself kind of spoils it by including a map of both the World of Balance and the World of Ruin, but I hadn't been using the map and had long forgotten about that. I also thought the ghost part in Link's Awakening was kind of touching. Maybe because I found that house earlier and the lone tombstone and wondered about them, so I knew right away where to go. Unless it was killed in the hacker attack, somewhere on this forum I made several posts what dungeons in ALttP could be beaten out of order. Technically, you can beat almost any dungeon in any order you want. You'd just need to play through them long enough to get the item needed for the next dungeon. In other words, you'd normally have to do the Dark Palace first, but if you just got the hammer and left, the rest of the overworld is opened to you. |

In BoF 2, I sorted out the business with Jean's imposter, caught the thief that one of my party members was mistaken for, killed a rich guy named Trout who
turned into a demon, and am now trekking through the inside of a giant whale. After finishing the dungeon, I think I'm going to get to ride the whale
around like a ship. Weird...
And.... school's out! YAY!!!!!!
