And finally Mushroom Cup. I might start racing big next, or maybe proceed with a Let's-Play type of narration with unpolished runs of each cup.

Me beating the Normal Difficulty of Evil Zone with Ihadulca Part 1. (I had to split it into 3 parts because of YouTube's 10 minute length limit). Note that when you play as Ihadulca, who is normally the final boss, you fight yourself first and then Kakurine becomes the final boss. (This is explained in the Story Mode, but I'm actually playing the 1P Battle Mode.) |

Whoah - Second round with Midori - she took off almost 3/4 of your life bar before you even got a hit in on her and then you made a spectacular comeback!
Seems like that game has become a "whipping boy" of sorts for bad games, and after years of seeing people say how bad it was and how bad the voice acting was, I was rather surprised that the videos and your review don't make it sound that bad at all. I can see where you mostly rely on only a few moves to win every fight and your review indicates that it's the same way for all the characters, so I can imagine that getting repetitive after a few plays. Still, though, I expected something that looked and sounded way worse than that and it just goes to show that da dick got his panties in a bunch over nothing. "No one can withstand

Most of the bad voice acting is contained within the story mode, and even then, I don't have a problem with the actors so much as the ridiculous lines of
dialogue they're given to recite. How could anyone have seriously thought hearing Gally chow down on a lobster tail was contributing anything to story or
character development? Trying to make every fight seem like an episode of a TV show was just a bad, bad idea. But in the worst video game voice acting I've
heard (Alone in the Dark 2, Albert Odyssey), not only are the lines dumb, but it's clear that the people performing them are not professionals.
Still, though, I expected something that looked and sounded way worse than that and it just goes to show that da dick got his panties in a bunch over nothing. Well, as others have pointed out, that guy was very incomprehensible, but it seemed like he wasn't offended so much by me not liking the game (I don't even think he'd ever played it) as it was that he felt that making fun of anime was in poor taste, which was an opinion that developed out of him being mad that Greybob criticized some anime that he held in high regard. The problem is that those comments he got pissed at me over were my first impressions, and not only was that the first impression the game gave me, but it's the first impression the game wanted to give me. Obviously, the game was aimed at anime fans, but didn't have a license for any actual series, so they based the characters on recognizable archetypes in hopes that would draw people to it. And if it wanted to be a parody, then yes, it did need to go farther than it did. There's no way of knowing just by looking at the package that it's parody, or even immediately by playing it, and while I don't always need a huge sign saying, "PARODY!" for me to know when something is, there's a difference between when it's happening on Family Guy and when it's happening in an unheard-of game. With that said, no, it's not as bad as I would've expected either, although I have to admit that part of what made me want to play it was that I always thought it sounded hilarious when people complained about the one button for all attacks. I do have to wonder how well some of those people actually remembered it, though, and may have been confusing it with other fighting games they played. The game was released in 1999 and I found posts on the Game Pond circa 2000 where people claimed they saw things happen in the game that, as far as I can tell, don't. |

That SMB2 video was fine, but just FYI, I literally fell asleep watching it. Well, my head didn't hit the keyboard, so maybe it was just limited
consciousness. Some time around World 6. Totally not the video's fault.
