Rule 15: Comic Sans is mandatory on the Port Saiid forums. Both accidental and intentional violations of this rule
will result in an immediate lifetime ban. Anyone expressing disagreement will also be banned. Do the right thing. Use Dark Lord's official font.

Even Courier New gets in trouble.
It's even funnier when people get fits about a specific "regular" font like Times. Maybe typographers see things I don't, but is there really much of a difference between Times and Times New Roman and Helvetica and so forth? |

The only font guidelines I'm aware of is that Times New Roman is pretty standard, and I use Arial for power point presentations. The idea for the latter
is that large block print without serifs is easier to read from across a room.

I downloaded a Mr. Saturn font off of some website. Don't know what I could possibly use it for.

If you make an Earthbound site, maybe? I use special fonts in my shrines for page and category headings. I can't always find fonts that are based on the
actual game fonts, so I try to find something that looks similar or appropriate to the theme. (I didn't do this for the Kid Icarus Shrine, but I did for
Equinox, Knights of Justice, Kirby's Dream Land 3, Magic of Scheherazade, and Drakkhen.)
Anyway, I probably wouldn't even have really noticed the Comic Sans font that much if people hadn't started pointing it out. Although, it's one thing to use the font for what it was intended to be used for, it's another thing to use it for obituaries. Yes, I one time saw a funeral home's website with the obituaries in Comic Sans. When you're dealing with a solemn event, you may want to choose a font that doesn't have the word "Comic" in its name. |

everyone should use the fandango font whenever they feel like using a comic sans or arial bold for headings.

Serifs for print, non-serifs (like arial) for screen. It's supposed to be easier on the eyes.
The Mr. Saturn font was so awesome, but I have yet to find a practical purpose to it, as well. It would only be good for writing text for fake Earthbound screenshots. It's bad if you can look at a font and immediately identify it. That's why Comic Sans and Papyrus have developed such ire, whereas such delightful fonts as fantasy (which I hadn't heard of outside of Yuku) aren't quite as painful. I can look at Papyrus text and immediately say what it is. Man, if I had a dollar for every local business that uses Papyrus, I'd be making bank... |

It's bad if you can look at a font and immediately identify it. Not really. I know Verdana when I see it, which is what I use for both the site and board, and it's my favorite (and IMO, the most internet-readable) font there is. Sethra used to use a Tekton font at ShnooWorld, which seemed like a better version of Comic Sans. |
