a graphic adventure game which is suppose to be completely fictional and not based on real-life, even though part of the plot has an airship crashing into a
tower, and the game is pretty much like grand theft auto, and has absolutely no fantasy themes... except in a minigame where you get to write fanfiction on the
interwebz.
the ending is a ripoff of star ocean 3 where you find out that the world is really the matrix, but nobody believes you , and you lead the rest of your life not as hero but as "that guy with a wapanese name who get mocked endlessly on the interwebz for writing fanfiction".

and i guess ten years down the road, it gets a shooter game sequel , which wins game of the year, and someone turns it into a book and movie advertised as "based on real life". so full of win!!!
