You know, when I was looking for that picture (only to have to scan it from the manual anyway), I stumbled into the Wikipedia article that sounded like Avin brought Mile back from the dead. So I went back to GameFAQs and found, OH HO! Greybob was right! Sort of! That ghost was really Bellias, and Bellias used a mind control spell on the real Mile, and you have to fight him towards the end of the game to knock some sense into him! I'm guessing you're going to be too burnt out on RPGs after this to start Mother 3. I'm going out of town for spring break and will be away from a computer and consoles for a while. I might take my PSP or DS, though I'm not sure what I'd play. I'll probably end up doing homework all week, anyways. :-/ So, FFIV is going to have to wait a week before I can finish it. Ugh, I've played nothing but RPGs all year: Chrono Trigger DS, Final Fantasy 7, Mother 3, and now Final Fantasy 4. Maybe I should try playing something, different for a change? Maybe I'll replay Spyro the Dragon. I'm feeling strangely nostalgic for that game... I live on the internet.

If Real Ultimate Power was a game, this would be it. The difficulty has been toned down comapred to the previous Xbox one, because I'm pretty sure Ryu's health didn't automatically regenerate before. I've collected a couple of extra weapons but am just using the standard sword for now.

Anyways. I've heard NG2 gives you the refills because later on there are situations you can't get by without taking at least 1 hit at all. Sounds lame. I've watched a crapload of Gundam lately, and now my eyes are starting to hurt. So I took a break, instead of finsihing off Double Zeta today. Garland celebrates 20 years of knocking down people! I probably wouldn't have been so bothered by them killing off a character I liked if he wasn't, you know, the only thing I really liked about the game (well, I'll give the game Douglas too). I got two more sacred treasures, and it looks like I'm finally 2/3 of the way through this bloody game. Man, this game pisses me off. I go up a mountain to a windy area where a wind god lives. I go through a mountain path to the shrine of the wind god, get there just as the door is closing, and the group drags this unconscious guy back to town. Then I have to run BACK to the shrine, only to sit through another cutscene where they all decide, nope, no way to open this without that unconscious guy, and oh no! A monster flies out, then I have to run BACK to town. Oh no! That monster polluted the air! Then I have to go all the way back down the mountain, but at least I was given an elevator, but you have to watch it descend ALL the floors, to go through a forest to fetch these purple and green cat things that fart perfume from earlier in the game. Then I go BACK up the mountain, sitting through the elevator ascencing ALL the floors, BACK to the shrine, go through the shrine (and the final area is just running in a straight line for about five minutes), beat a boss, then have to run all the way back OUT the shrine. I feel like the second half of the game is just playing through the first half in reverse order. This game sucks.

I know I'm so close to getting Mile back, but I'm tired and have a headache from playing this for four hours straight. Yes, my whole purpose for slogging through the second half of this pile was to get a guy in a dress back from the dead.

I enjoyed it, but feel like if I had to replay it all over again, I would not remember what I just did. Nothing that great about them and the same can be said with the bosses faced. One was an ice dragon which had such weak attacks I could just get hit by them and it didn't matter, I was free to keep shooting arrows into its skull. Another boss was a four armed wolf-man thing which had a scythe, but again, not too much trouble to take down. Right after that boss 20 or so of his minions arrive to fight you, taking them all on at the same time were much more difficult that the actual boss. SF HD Remix:

With Legend of Heroes still not content in as many cliches as it's already got, Mile was still being controlled by Bellias and flinging giant balls of magic around, and Avin refuses to fight him, trying to reason with him only to get his ass kicked. What finally breaks the curse on Mile is Avin repeatedly ringing the Guardian Bell Mile's father gave them before they went on their quest and Mile dropped when he was "killed," and summarizing pretty much the entire first half of the game. Where else have I seen people being cured of something (rage, curse, amnesia, etc.) by a sound? - The Wind Fish (and Link himself) being woken up by the song at the end of Link's Awakening. - In Final Fantasy 6, Strago breaks out of his Kefka-worshipping trance after hearing Relm's voice. - In the Ys 2 anime, Adol went all batshit insane after the people in the Solomon dungeon were turned to stone, and what finally brings him back to his senses is Lillia going to some ledge and playing the goddess's song on the Silver Harmonica, which Adol somehow hears. (Incidentally, one of the reasons I preferred the Ys 1 anime to the Ys 2 anime is because Adol apparently left his angst medication at the top of Darm Tower when he got shot to the land of Ys) - In Earthbound Zero, the song you collect throughout the game returns Queen Mary's memory and gets Giegue to abandon his attack. - I was eating lunch one day and turned on Cartoon Network (you'd think Flapjack would have taught me a lesson about doing this, but I guess not) and caught the end of a Pokemon Diamond and Pearl movie where Palkia and Dialga were fighting, and both are silenced by Ash going to the top of some bell tower and activating it. But again, this one's not fair because Legend of Heroes came before that movie. No doubt others (I feel like this happened in Ocarina of Time but I can't remember when, and I don't really count using Saria's Song on Darunia since all that did was cheer him up enough to open the door for you), but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Also, Avin only finds out about using the bell after he drops it and Mile goes crazy after it rings upon hitting the ground. I'm sure that's a cliche too.

Buy CB007 a dress and set him up on a date with Co-D. it looks like a skirt and blouse. try wearing this on a date. === dark crusade: playing around with the orks on easy difficulty just for the not-so-much-lol. feels like controlling a buncha overgrown green kids. the warboss doesn't trash talk enough, just for the comic relief, if you ask me. the units in WC3 gave much more humourous and varied reponses (if you click them several times). when attacking weak bases, i could easily beat them with just my honour guards and 1 squad of 10+ sluggas. i don't feel like i'm cheating by playing easy difficulty since i suspect that the AI controlled armies have no squad or vehicle cap. i think a gamepsot review suspects that too. as for AI controlled ork, they seem to have no "ork cap" either. which means AI orks can have infinite squads of infinite orks in them if you let a game run long enough. but i guess any PC will overheat and shut down before that happens. ... i said many times that the necrons are tough, but the orks' relic weapon does an insane amount of melee damage of over a 1000. it has 2000 more HP than the monolith(if i remember correctly), and it's also slow moving, but not as slow as the monolith. though the monolith can teleport short distances. found a big weakness with the orks. if their hero, the warboss gets killed early, they would have a hard time reviving him. he seems to be the only "tier 3" hero/commander unit in the game. tier 3 meaning the final tech/research level. the orks have a tedious method of raising their tech level. they have to fill up a WAAAGGGHH!!! gauge by creating as much orks as possible, and to increase the ork cap/limit, they have to build several WAAAGGGHHH!! banners/towers. that takes a large amount of building time, and would also require a lot of space. good thing the warboss has more HP than a mecronnecron lord, and the orks are good at rushing and defeating the enemy fast. I got playing Super Metroid today and already I've gotten to the Wrecked Ship. It's an interesting experience playing a Metroid game I've already completed, as I've lost enough familiarity with it for the maps to be a fresh experience, but I know what items I'll be getting next and roughly where I'll be getting them. I've played just under two hours so far. The first time it must've taken me eight hours or something ridiculous to reach the Wrecked Ship, and that's not counting the time I spent fannying about without saving. I'm sad to say Crocomire is the only boss I had trouble with. I didn't enter the save room before entering, went a little missile-crazy, and didn't get enough refills to make driving him back an easy task, so I killed myself on the spikes. Not one of my shining moments.

Well, sort of. At the time, you'll only have 5 missiles, which you'll have used to open his door. If I'd just try fighting him right away after that, I'd have trouble, but I've learned my lesson and restock those 5 missiles before fighting, at which point he's not very hard. In Illusion of Gaia, playing the Memory Melody on Will's flute restores Lance's memory.
