However, if you look at the definition of funky fresh, it doesn't mention being a rapper at all! So Nucleo could be funky fresh. I guess there's a difference between changing what you're doing because you realize it isn't the right thing to do (Honen), and realizing you may need to temper your approach to your passions because of reality (the symbolism?).
