Crawl and I live fairly close to an airport and as such, I'm used to hearing planes going overhead.
But ever since about 9 or 10 pm, there has been a plane (or jet) going overhead once every few minutes. Between 2:30 and 2:42, I counted 4. It's driving me nuts. It's driving the cats nuts. Pepper actually went upstairs and I'm not sure what she was doing up there, but that's not like her to go up there after dark. Mel usually sleeps with us, but she keeps moving around (as though she's trying to get away from the noise) sleeping first on the futon, then on one of the cat towers. She moved again after the last plane and I'm not sure where she went.*
I looked up our local newspaper's website to see if there are any military activities going on in the area, but I can't find anything.
It seems to have quieted down for the moment, but I'm going to be really pissed if I go back to bed, start falling asleep, and get jarred awake by another plane.
* Edit: She was hiding under a chair. She just came out.
* Edit 2: And now she's looking out the window. She never does that in the middle of the night, either.
