I just thought of a band I hate! Second hand Serenade. If you don't know who they are, you're lucky. My sister loves them, though...

Nirvana and Pearljam. Hate them too.
Note: Nirvana is my most overrated band of all time too

Brigade, WTF??? Normally, I don't question people's tastes in music, but judging by that list, you pretty much hate all rock music.

i'm not sure i hate bush more than every american band who pretends to be british, or use a fake brit accent like greenday.

That comes from early punk bands like Sex Pistols having British accents. Even Kurt Cobain faked one for "Serve the Servants".
It's only fair when you consider british bands that should, based on their speaking voices (like Oasis), sing their songs with an incomprehensibly thick cockney accent but instead sing more like Americans. |

I'm absolutely sick of all the whiney, angsty emo crap that's so popular these days.
I live on the internet.

James FP wrote: Are you reffering strictly to j-pop as in manufactured trash like Ayumi Hamasaki and whatnot, or are you using it as a general term to describe all japanese music including j-rock and other genres done in the japanese language? I'll tell you what, I'm somewhat of a japanese music afficianado, and I can tell you that alot of the corny stuff gets more attention online simply because it was in an anime, or because it's 'weird' and is considered novel to western audiences (though the latter is sometimes true even with many of the better artists). You'll see alot of hideous japanese music being praised by ignorant weeaboos online and some of the more talented artists being ignored with little information being made available on them in english. I must address the fact that not all j-pop male and female singers sound like some of the stuff you've probably heard, as both have their good and bad artists. For example, take Dreams Come True. They've been around for a while and continue to make quality music. One of the better j-pop groups that is still extant, and the singer does not sound squeally as she can actually sing. In case you didn't know them, you might recall that the bassist did the soundtracks for Sonic 1 and 2. And for male singers, there's a few I could name. Carlos Toshiki from Omega Tribe doesn't sound like Kyu Sakamoto (who sang Sukiyaki) by any means, and that goes for some other popular singers like Toshinobu Kubota (maybe the closest equivalent to Michael Jackson in japan), among others.

All I can say is that I'll be glad when Kings of Leon are done touring so I won't have to hear them as much.

His voice is nails on chalkboard to my ears, and I don't like his lyrics, either: "If you think I'm sexy, just reach out and touch me" - No thanks, Rod. Maggie May - The lyrics to this song make it sound to me like he's sleeping with his mother. Either that, or he just doesn't like his lover anymore because she got old, but then what's with all the lines about having to go back to school? "Patty gave birth to a 10-pound baby boy" - We need to know this... why? And it doesn't even rhyme with anything. |

Yesterday I had one of the most tormenting music experiences ever in my life - I had on a station that I don't normally listen to because I was tired of
the Oldies and Classic rock stations. This one is more of an adult contemporary station, but they play a lot of 80's music on Friday, which I was hoping
for.
There were these two songs that they played no less than four times each throughout the day. One has a woman's voice singing and has lyrics saying, "Don't let me go" over and over again. The other is a different song with a man's voice singing, and also has lyrics saying, "Don't let me go" over and over again. So not only am I hearing these two songs four times each, but their lyrics are so similar that it's almost like I heard the same song 8 times in one day. I don't know who actually sings either of these songs, but they can drop off the face of the planet and land in hell for all eternity as far as I'm concerned. |

Okay, the "man's" song I heard was "Don't Let Me Go" by The Fray and the "woman's" song was Pink's "Please
Don't Leave Me", so it wasn't the exact same line, but it's almost the same and also repeated multiple times in a row.
Kenny GI think Sethra's the only one who mentioned him so far, but oh man... not only did he pretty much find a way to get rich off of elevator music, but he's more than just annoying - he's evil. Yeah, I really wasn't just joking when I said in the SAB section that Sideshow Bob still manages to be less evil than Kenny G.
