You've gotta be careful about that. Sometimes when you're new to a job, people will try to get you to dress up on Halloween. When I first got hired to work at Canon, everybody in my department said they were going to come to work on Halloween in a "pajama party" theme. I agreed to do it, but the next day, I realized it would be too difficult to drive to work with feet pajamas, so I just went in normal clothes and hoped no one would get mad. It turned out that NOBODY came dressed in pajamas and no one mentioned a word about it. I later became suspicious that they tried pulling a prank on me when I heard that it's a common thing they'll do to "the new guy" in a workplace.
