By the way, the PS3 version of Bioshock is out, if you were still interesting in toying around with that version.

Well, it got to play Condemned since it's been with me, something you never wanted to spoil it with. And I'm sure it didn't mind Bioshock or
Condemned 2. And maybe when I'm done with Assassin's Creed, whether I slog through to the end or give up on it, I'll let it relive Mass Effect.

Mass Effect was fun, but it wasn't KOTOR. Plus it sets up a sequel at the end, and since it'll probably be a trilogy, you'll have to wait like 5 or
10 years and probably buy another console to figure out how the bloody thing ends. And that's if it sells enough to continue. Still worth playing, though,
I reckon.
I was thinking about Bioshock, but I'm not really into renting games anymore, and 60-70 dollar price tags are pissing me off. I probably should have sold the PS3, but for some reason, I'm optimistic that I'll want to plug it back in someday. That, and the fact that I have the increasingly scarce full backwards compatibility. I guess I can find better deals if I hunt around on ebay. |

I've watched (so far) 7 episodes of House today. I caught 10 minutes of an episode on TV, which restarted an addiction that has seen me buying episodes on
iTunes. I was a fan of the show a while back, but it's been a long time since I've seen one until today. I started early in Season 4, which seemed like
an interesting place based on episode descriptions.

I made it to Matic a few times in Strider, but he kills me almost instantly. It's pretty painful, because it's a LOOOONG stage up to that point, with
no check points.
The rest of the game is actually sort of easy up to that point. But the final stage has a bunch of boss fights. There's one guy with dual blades who turns into a whirlwind and who is only vulnerable when jumping (a new fight for the stage), a guy with a shield who mirrors your jumps (a reprise), a samurai (reprise), a shark robot (can't remember if that's new or not), and then some of those fights are reprised again in the same stage! The game is kind of an adventure, but it's just barely in that genre. There's not really a whole lot of nonlinearity. As well as all those bosses, the final stage also makes you find two computers and destroy them (really, some UFO looking thing in front of a computer) before you can move on. I think when I got a chance to play this game as a kid, I had a hard time remembering where to go to find the computers, but it's really not all that difficult. But, again, with all the bosses, and the exploring, and the sundry parts of the stage, there's a lot to get through to only be killed instantly at the boss. The other weird thing about the boss is that it can disarm you and throw your sword across the screen (the only enemy in the game that can do that). I don't know if I need to get a better strategy for the boss, or just rambo it, but make sure I use my healing magic better. This game misspells "Yggdrasil", as something like Yugdesiral.

i want to play bioshock on my pc, but no videocard recommended for it, would fit in my expansion slot.
i'm still thinking of buying an xbox 360 or a DS. whenever i have any savings at all. used xbox 360 games are going for about 1/2 price around here, and the ol's xbox games are dirt cheap. but still... 70 for a freshly packed 360 game is rather steep pricing. and my tv ain't HD. the DS decame more expensive than a PSP around here for some reason. damn stock market fluuctuations(sp?) |

I'm now good enough to get 4 and 5 star rankings on the Medium Guitar Hero setting. I've been bouncing back and forth between GH3 and GH:Aerosmith. My
personal qualification for "beating" the games is to finish every song on Medium with at least a 4 star performance.

Matic was notoriously difficult back in the day and even Nintendo's Game Counselors wouldn't tell you how to beat him. I got past him and beat the game
once, but I've never gone back to it again.
I'm up to Michael's chapter in the Chatturgha path of Eternal Darkness. The game goes by a lot faster on a replay because I know all the puzzle solutions. I've also figured out some strategies that make killing enemies easier. The Omni-Wonder

I beat the first level of Operation C on my first try without dying. I made it to the boss of level 3. The next time around I still beat the first level
without dying, and made it to the boss of level 4.
My brother wanted me to get him an Xbox Original from a local place, so I did. I tested it with Halo and couldn't stop laughing at how ridiculous this game looks. Everything's so boxy and inorganic. ![]() It's time for revenge... |

looked at screen shots for fable ii and fallout iii. they both have a dog, an their backviews remind me of will smith.
now why can't they just make a decent rpg based on "i am legend"(the book) ? |

I've mostly been watching House, as videogames are becoming more of a weekend thing for me. From where I started watching in Season 4, I caught up to the
current episodes in Season 5. Therefore, I went out and rented the first season, which I've only seen small parts of. I don't dislike the original team
from the first few seasons, but I think bringing in the new doctors worked out pretty well.
With the limited playing I've done, I've made a little bit of progress in both Guitar Hero's on Medium. I'm interested in World Tour, but I'd like to finish these first. I'd also like to try the drum controller for World Tour, but it sounds like there are some manufacturing problems they need to work out. Aside from that, I don't see any bundles that have the game and the drums (or the drums by themselves) so far. |

Hahaha, no the game wasn't that easy.
I made it to level 5 yesterday, and actually died at the level 1 boss. ![]() It's time for revenge... |

I moved the files to my laptop.
I unlocked Bubblegloop Swamp, but I can't find it! After you unlock a stage, you can't get your puzzle pieces back. Fortunately, I had four pieces left and Treasure Trove Cove only took 2 to unlock. So, I'm going through that stage now. |

So, I tried a few N64 things. I've mostly been playing Banjo Kazooie. I got 100 notes in Treasure Trove Cove. I'm not sure if I have enough jiggies
to open Freeze Easy Peak or not yet. I did quite a fair amount in Bubblegump swamp, but very little in Clanker's Cavern.
The kitty took another nap with me when I was playing. It might have been dozing for about an hour. I wonder what it likes about doing that so much. I almost wonder if it likes the music from the game. |

I unlocked Freezeezy Peak. I already have 80+ notes there. I also have enough notes to unlock the next door (350), but I haven't done it yet. It seems
like it might be an easier stage than Clanker's Cavern. I think this game probably is (granted, it's been a while since I've played it) harder
than Donkey Kong 64, which did strike me as just being about running around exploring. In that game, when you get a banana, it was yours to keep forever. In
this game, if you get some notes, but not 100, then die, you need to do the whole thing over.
The emulator was kind of chugging when I left off, but I just put it aside for now rather than solving the issue because I've probably been playing too long anyway and my eyes need a rest. |

I beat Guitar Hero: Aerosmith on Medium. Technically, there are two songs that I only got 3 star rankings on. But the game flat out said "You have beaten Guitar Hero: Aerosmith on Medium", so I figured I'd take the game's word for it. What better
source is there than the game itself?

We're at the final boss of WoW. Couple weeks ago, in preparation for the expansion on Nov. 13th, the game was patched and there was a massive nerf
(weakening) to most raid content and a buff to players (because they now have access to expansion abilities). Thus, most bosses that even the best guilds would
be stuck on for weeks on end were killable in one night of learning. It's kind of lame now, since the challenge is gone, but it's still cool to see
some of those end bosses.
If there hadn't been the nerf, we probably would have just been able to kill the first boss of the last dungeon. We were working on it pre-nerf and got it down to about 30% HP. Post-patch, we killed it on the first shot, and went on to down the next boss in two tries. (Which usually took weeks of learning and gearing up.) Two weeks later we killed the 5th boss (after 8 tries--it used to be considered the hardest boss in WoW), so we took a peek at the last boss. Here is he "getting out of the bath" when you engage him:
85% of video games are above the median in quality.

I got 100 notes in Freezeesy Peak, and unlocked Gobi's desert. I think I might have finally passed where I left off on this game when I played it about 10
years ago while visiting my sister, around the Nsider era. I don't remember playing in Gobi's desert before.

I finally beat the first boss in Bubsy 3. It seemed like his pattern became undodgable if the battle went on too long, so I figured out a pretty simple trick
to take him out in mere seconds.
So the next level is Jack and the Beanstalk land. The first level (in case I didn't mention it) was based on Alice in Wonderland. The boss was a Mad Hatter in a giant teapot with tank treads. I'm guessing the boss of this world will be the giant... But what's up with this world? It seems like I can only climb so high and it stops... and there's no goalpost... |
