I bought the Dracula X Chronicle soundtrack. Disc 1 contains horrible remixes from the nasty 3D version, but disc 2 has all of the music from the PC Engine
version so it all worked out fine. I also got some Microsoft points ready for whenever R-Type Dimensions is released.

Sam & Max Season One
Breath of Fire II NBA Jam FC 3 Plus I'm really confused with BoFII. In addition of the Y (X?) button being the general action button, there aren't any endquotes. |

I think you can reconfigure the buttons in BOF 2 any way you want them. I guess it's possible I'm thinking of BOF1, but I don't remember X or Y
being the default action button.

You neglect Blaster Master for chocolate and peanuts? >: (
In more serious news, I got the point and click Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and went to install it, only to find out the last disc was missing. Finding a .rar with the complete game was actually pretty painless. So painless it made me feel stupid for paying $24 for it. At least it wasn't that expensive and I got the box and all the papers, though I'm pretty sure the manual is a photocopy, but at least what I need is there, and there's some sticker residue on the back of the box and there's a sticker and a tear on Sean Connery's face.

Circuit City has finally slashed their prices enough that I was able to get a lot of really good deals on movies today. I bought over 20 movies...
Airplane! Big Fish Carrie Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story - I've never seen this, and I don't even know if it's supposed to be that good, but it was really cheap (cheaper than it would probably be to rent it), and I own the soundtrack which is really good (done by the same guy who did Dragonheart's soundtrack). Easy Rider - I was surprised to see this. It was sitting right out in the open, yet I don't remember seeing it there last time we went. Fargo - I've never seen this either, but I've heard it's good. The Karate Kid The Longest Yard - The original with Burt Reynolds. I've never seen it, but it was also really cheap and I've heard it's good. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King - My least favorite of the trilogy, but I thought that if I ever wanted to complete it (I only owned the second one, The Two Towers, before), this was the best opportunity to get the third one. They didn't have Fellowship. The Magnificent Seven - Same exact story as Easy Rider. The only difference is that I found each one at a different Circuit City. The Man With the Golden Gun - Never seen it, but I like Christopher Lee. The Matrix Mortal Kombat - Don't laugh. It's the gamer in me. Incidentally, they do have a MK1&2 double-pak for the same price and Crawl said with that available there's no reason to buy just MK1 alone unless you hated MK2 to the point where you wouldn't want it in your house. But it turns out that the versions on the double-pak are only the full-screen versions and I didn't want FS versions, so I just got MK1 for now (they didn't have a standalone MK2). The Silence of the Lambs - I didn't realize until now that the title of this movie has a "The" in front of it. Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow - I have no idea if this is any good, but it was also insanely cheap (less than the cost of a rental), so... South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut Stand By Me Stripes This is Spinal Tap - I've never seen this, either, but I'm always hearing about it. Transformers Energon: The Battle for Energon Transformers Energon: The Return of Megatron - The only reason I bought both of these is because they were only $4.20 each, and hey, it's not G1 or Beast Wars, but it's still Transformers. If they're terrible, at least I'll know I won't have to track down any more of them. And if I like them... it might be something else for me to look into. True Lies - I saw this years ago in the movie theater and liked it. I don't know what I'd think of it now. X-Men X-Men 2: United X-Men 3: The Last Stand - It was finally cheaper to buy all three of these from CC than it was to get the three-pak on Amazon.com. That, and I'd prefer to use my Amazon coupons to buy things I can't get anywhere else. Music I got: Bruce Springsteen - Born in the USA Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run - I think that's all the Bruce Springsteen I'll ever need. Deep Purple - Machine Head - Yay! Now I can finally hear Highway Star since they almost never play it on the radio around here anymore. |

I finally started getting stuff, too. (Oh, and they said that the sale is in its final 8 days) FO got a lot of movies, and on the way from one store to the
other said that she was good to videogames for a long time, but she doesn't know if they're good to her anymore. I got a few videogames anyway.
Tekken 5 -- Does this one have a bonus 3D space shooter? I thought so. What a great reason to get a fighting game. Wikipedia does say it has arcade versions of Tekken 1, 2 and 3, plus Star Blade. I know I have PS1 versions of Tekken 2 and 3, but maybe not of Tekken 1. Art of Fighting Anthology - 1, 2 and 3 on one disk. NeoPets: The Darkest Faerie - At one Circuit City, the only remaining games were right next to the checkout line. FO told me to get this game. When we got home, she said, "Oh, I didn't know you got this. I was just joking." The Legend of Spyro - A New Beginning Corvette - Now we have this, and FO already got Ford vs Chevy. Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition -- Whoah, this was only $6. I'm not sure why. That would have been 70% off, which I don't think it should have been. Maybe it was rung up as DMC1. Anyway, I'm glad I didn't pay full price for this! Especially since I DID pay full price for the original edition, only for a SE to come out just a little later. Shadow of the Colossus - Sorry, Codie! After I got some stuff and it turned out to be cheaper than I was expecting (partially maybe because of the DMC3 thing), I decided to go back and get this. Kingdom Hearts 2 -- I got this when I got SotC. Then, after waiting in line for who knows how long, I was finally at the front and thought, "Huh?" Is this KH2, or 1 [which we already had]" Their cover arts are almost identical. And the "two" on the front cover of two is incorporated into the logo art and hard to see. The spine said it was the first one. So, we put it aside. HP50G -- I finally got this. I guess it can be a special physics present to myself. It was a bit of a risk. At the first place, the calculators were 40% off. Here, there was a sign that said it was only 20% off, but that would have been a savings of negative dollars compared to the online Amazon and Walmart price (but wtf?) But since the sign over the store said EVERYTHING was 25-50% off, I figured they just didn't care to update the price. I was right. So, I didn't save a LOT, even with "40% off", since they marked it up before they took the 40% off, but I might have saved 20% compared to the cheaper online prices. Someone went through the store and loudly said, "I hate to tell you, but after the store raised everything to MSRP, you're saving 5% at best!" I think he was specifically talking about DVDs. He might have been right when they were even 25% off, but now that they're 40%, you're finally getting some savings (even if not the full 40%). I also got two packs of rechargable AAA's. I think I could theoretically use just rechargables for my TI89 and HP50G, AND if they get low have an extra set for recharging to replace the spent ones, AND have another one for miscellaneous purposes, like for my MP3 player. I'll eventually need to get another SD card for my calculator (it probably wouldn't hurt to have extras for my camera, for that matter). I also might want to get a separate calculator case. I like the hard one that came with the 35S. But the leather one for the 50G, while classy, probably will cause the calculator to accidentally be turned on inside a bookbag. |

Have you played the original Spyro games (the first three)? I'd hate to have your opinion of the games ruined by that one. Well, the original trilogy
weren't masterpieces, but the later games in the series (after Insomniac left Universal games to become independant) are really bad. The ones I've
played were, at least. I don't know about that particular one, but my expectations wouldn't be very high.
Of course, the Crash Bandicoot series fared even worse. BTW, Kingdom Hearts had an image of the characters sitting on a roof with a black background, while Kingdom Hearts II has an image of the characters sitting on a heart against a silvery background. It bugged me, too, how they made the logo like that, with the II hard to see. I was looking through my games to make a list a while back, and that confused me, because I thought it was the first game for a second. Have fun with your Neopets game. :P
I live on the internet.

Yeah, we have all three of the original Spyro's. I haven't played those yet, but when I get around to the series I'll play them in order. My
Playstation did come with a Spyro 1 demo, and I did play some of that. It was a simple pleasure, but it was kind of fun to run around with the analogue pad
and hit walls head first and have the controller rumble.

Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2 have such similar covers that when I bought 2 at Gamestop, they actually gave me 1. We had to go back and exchange it out for the right one, and they were still confused about it and insisted it was the same game. |

Truthfully, I don't really care if anyone likes that game, it's the "IT'S ART BECAUSE I SAY SO AND THAT NEGATES ALL THE GAME'S FLAWS" people that piss me off, which happens to be 99% of the people who like it.

Flying Omelette wrote:I haven't watched any of the Armada - Energon - Cybertron series, but I've heard that they're not exactly the greatest things in the world. The Transformers Wiki has an amusing list of faults, if you don't mind me putting you off. My dad picked up a few DVDs recently - two movies I can't remember and The City of Lost Children, as we're both on a Ron Perlman kick at the moment. We didn't get watching it all because the folks wanted to watch CSI, but the first hour was at least decent eye candy, though not enough to actually make the plot comprehensible. Didn't quite grip me enough to make me rush to watch the second half, though, but I'd be interested in finishing it sometime. |

I don't know what you've heard about City of Lost Children, but I heard it was a horror movie and it's really not. It's actually a dark comedy.
And even then, it's not really THAT dark. It's pretty goofy. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit and would have
bought it had Circuit City had it.
Thanks for the heads-up on Transformers: Energon. Even if I had known about the flaws ahead of time, I probably would have still bought them since they were so cheap. I can be silly that way. |

I'd quite literally heard nothing about the movie before; I knew nothing of it when it was released, and we didn't even know it had Ron Perlman until
he'd bought it and I looked at the blurb, which, like a lot of DVDs, spent more time going "look what popular people we had in this production!"
than hinting at what it would be. With the 15 rating and box art I was under the impression it'd be darkly whimsical, maybe like Pan's Labyrinth.
I admit I'd also pick up Energon if I saw it, simply because I'm both a Transformers nerd and also a terrible person. |

Picked up some more dirt cheap movies and CDs at Circuit City today.
The Aviator Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - This one has some nostalgic value for me because it was the first movie Crawl and I saw together. Die Hard With a Vengeance Dodgeball - This was marked up $5 more than the other movies I bought, but actually ended up being the same price. I tried to get this at the Media Play sale several years ago, but they sold it out before I had the chance. Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within - Just like with MK, I know it isn't good, but it's the gamer in me. Labyrinth - I'm not the biggest fan of this movie, but it was cheaper than dirt, and it is Jim Henson... The Matrix Reloaded - Not my favorite movie in the world, but I thought if I ever wanted to complete the trilogy, this was my chance to get the second one. (They didn't have Revolutions.) Minority Report - May not have gotten this one except it was even cheaper than all the others. Predator 2 Robocop - Okay, maybe the only reason I bought this was because of the lenticular cover... well, I did parody the ED-209 scene in the second AT sketch. Rocky III The Sixth Sense Music I got: B.B. King Live Louis Armstrong - The Definitive Collection Madonna - Like a Virgin |

I got
Saw -- They had the two disc and one disc set for the same price. I got the one disc because the two-disc one was an alternate cut and I wasn't sure if I'd like it. Speed -- FO said she never even saw this one. Superman: The Movie -- FO said we had #2 (maybe even from Media Play) but not 1. Rocky IV -- This is really the best of the Rocky series. It begins the story of his hunt for shoes. The Living Daylights -- This one was a little more than the previous ones. I think it's possible that some James Bond fans don't like this one, but screw them. I saw this one (well, along with a bunch of others) in theaters when I was younger, so it has some nostalgia for me in that sense. And it has one of Bond's coolest cars. Also, my brother saw this when he was young, and he said some awesome things like, "Does that helicopter have missiles?" and, "Oh, I get it! She turned into a cello!" Taxi Driver -- This was the most expensive one (it's a 2 disc set), but I figured if I can get Saw and Speed and Rocky IV, then I can get a classic. Obscure The Aftermath -- FO told me that Codie was playing this game. And I wondered if that meant I should get it. And then FO said that Codie only plays good games now so I had to get it. |
