I said something about Terranigma haunting me because I could never get very far into it. And Hotel Dusk seems interesting despite the weird method of holding
the DS like a book.
Then I posted: In Terranigma, I just went through a nightmare dungeon and restored the plants. The boss was pretty tough and time consuming. I'm still not really thrilled with the method I used to fight it, since I couldn't seem to avoid taking major damage. I actually gained two levels during the battle by fighting the crap it throws at you. I save stated a couple of times during the dungeon because this game throws you back pretty far and I was getting pissed off about having to redo half the dungeon because I didn't notice I was low on health and forgot to heal. I didn't do it during the boss battle itself, but I restored from right before the boss about five times. I can rationalize it also because I've already been father into the game than this before, anyway. Something about this game's play control is a little off. |

Also, Magnus had replied and said that he found Dark Gaia to be a pain because of taking damage from the bubbles, and I replied that I didn't seem to take
hits if I faced up, didn't move, and attacked as soon as shadow rematerialized.

I just cleared the dungeon that restores birds to the world. The boss was two bird monsters. One shoots something at you and the other one tries to poop on
you. The level design just doesn't seem to be up there with Actraiser and Gaia. I often feel in this game like I'm just wandering through a bunch of
random rooms that all look almost the same.
I renamed Ark to Will for this playthrough (which I did in Soul Blazer as well. Will is at level 11. |
