More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None This is twice in one year I've been banned from a forum and twice I've been banned for something I didn't actually do. First I was banned for being "off-topic" at insomnia when I wasn't even being off-topic. Now, I'm banned from truthandbeautybombs for not complying with a user's wishes to post pictures of myself from a particular time period, when in fact I did. So, apparently, all I have to do to get banned from places is act in a completely normal, appropriate, and inoffensive manner. God, people make it too damn easy these days. I had to be REALLY creative in the old days to piss people off. What would happen if I gave them the full-monty like I did at N-Sider? Post to be followed tomorrow with some thoughts on this general subject that I had been tossing around in my head for several weeks now but just haven't had time to make coherent enough to post...

I received some testimonials from people who have had trouble with this forum before. Some will be answered in Q & A tonight... Unless it's someone from here doing it, I think some of these people are going through old posts on the forums. I've noticed in my site tracker a ridiculous number of hits coming from old topics here. "There's a worse room than this?! How?! Is it on fire?"

Just because Power-Up Comics is an amusing and maybe even sometimes clever little parody, that doesn't mean its forums will be full of people who are smarter than your average box of rocks. Especially if they're self-proclaiming themselves to never flame anyone. That's a surefire sign that they do. It's the little kid who yells, "I'm not stealing!" when you walk past him in the store. The problem is that webcomic fans, even fans of good ones, are just as bad as gamers. Sorry, but webcomics fans are the lowest of the low in the internet gene pool. That YWiB blog proved that. A gamer has to be at least intelligent enough to hook up a console, put a game in it, and occasionally make it all the way to the end of one. All a webcomic fan knows how to do is click a button to cycle through his bookmarks. If you swim with sharks, you get bit. Take the time you would spend swimming with them and put it back into your own site, because you're a million times a better writer than any webcomic could ever hope to be and that's a fact.

And to think that James and I were contemplating linking Powerup Comics. I'm glad we hadn't gone through with it yet. Edit - Although, I must say, that was a beautiful send-off for the Overlord. I know you talked once before about wanting to write her out of the series, and that song was great. I now have a new song to listen to when I'm feeling down about things. It doesn't make any sense. A moderator emails her -- rather than posting or using the forum's built-in messaging service -- and tells her to delete her own posts? It's too much of a coincidence. The only other place it could have possibly have come from is Retrogamer, but I reviewed all the topics I've posted in over there and no one appears to be angry with anything I've said. This guy was *seriously* getting angry with me for not posting pictures between 1993 and 2008, and when I clarified that that was indeed the years they came from, and he got even angrier. I wouldn't be surprised, however, if there was some ulterior motive. Maybe he clicked on my website link and thought, "Oh look! It's that bitch who didn't give Conker's Bad Fur Day a 10/10!!! review. I think I'll give her some shit and force her out of here." I know I've run into that at other places. If you ever troll VGF, send me the links. Trust me, if I ever prank any other forums, you guys will be the first to know. The last time I did that, however, was at NESplayer, which you can read about in the DBDH Arena section at DH's site. I was banned from the Game Pond, the Bah Bah Blacksheep Board, Seto's board (when I never even posted there), the BFMA, insomnia, and that Transformers board that I wasn't quite banned from, but I probably would have had I stayed any longer. The internet is the internet. Back in the olden days, when you had to be somewhat smart to know how to get on the internet and make a website and use a forum, people were smart enough to not take MiyamotoLover Mentality seriously. But ever since Web 2.0 came around, it's been easy enough for anyone to join, no matter how painfully obtuse they are, and MiyamotoLover Mentality is everywhere you go. I know you talked once before about wanting to write her out of the series, and that song was great. I now have a new song to listen to when I'm feeling down about things. I got a real sick enjoyment from pairing the line "I lift my voice and the love comes tumbling out", with those scathing lamer-bashing posts of mine.

I actually missed an episode of Sailor Moon so I could get to Funcoland and claim my reserved copy before the store closed, and still have enough time left over to return my rented Sailor Scout costume. Ocarina of Time is the first Zelda game to ever be in 3D. As the hero of time, Link, you will travel through dungeons, fighting monsters and finding weapons on your magnificent quest to defeat Ganon. It is the apex of the N64, and the pinnacle of adventure gaming. At least...it could've been... Unfortunately, there is one fatal flaw that ruins what the almost-Game of the Century. What is that flaw, you ask? Link is shown as a child at the beginning of the game. Later in the game, he becomes an adult. Never is Link shown at any age in-between. A group of early ape-like humans discover a strange, perfectly-smooth rectangular object outside of their caves, which bestows upon them the knowledge of using tools. This dialogue-free segment could have been the set up for an epic tale of the evolution of mankind and his place in the universe. But then the unthinkable happens... A gorilla-man throws a bone into the sky, and the next thing we see is a spaceship. WTF?? 4/10 Get out of my cheese, get into my corn!

I think it's better to be better through actions rather than just saying you're better. And I'm aware of several forums that suck (or at least have plenty of bad points) yet constantly brag about how great they are, and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
