Is it worth paying a little bit more to get one because it's newer or is the original model so durable that it doesn't matter anyway? It'd be nice if it didn't get really yellow with age like the old ones did. However, we have at least two other working original designs. "There's a worse room than this?! How?! Is it on fire?"

Yeah, I have a remodeled SNES and it seems to work with everything. I don't believe it's gotten yellow yet, but on the other hand I of course haven't had it as long as the original model.

Now I'm gonna try and win a cart-only auction for FF4. They're pretty reasonably priced these days. Just hope the battery works okay. Worst case scenario, I'll just have to teach myself to change them. I guess I'll keep the FC Twin for any NES games I might want to play. It works extremely well with them, perfect sound. Odd.
