I think I'll go for a more factual tone when I go ahead and do another one.

That seems to be the case with most of the game. Here are a couple of oddities I'll have to get into more later.

By playing the entire intro before fighting Kainazzo, Cid is no longer waiting to talk to you on your way to your bed (before Mist) but rather stuck by the throne room. You can see him both on this screen and when you're actually in the throne room. I guess this is part of the story scene that occurs after you beat Kainazzo normally, but he seems to be trapped there due to our manipulations.





And in the scene after you win the battle, Cecil turns into a frog because of the Dk Knight/Paladin confusion, phantom Palom/Porom, Yang, and Tellah appear, and Cid is still missing despite his dialogue being present.

Update: It would appear that Cid in the first room is there for the wall crush event and in the second room for the post-Kainazzo battle conversation where he barges in.

See what happens when we visit Mysidia a little earlier than normal.

This is a related event with more random dialogue fun.

I've made it into some really weird glitch areas. They can cause the game to freeze and sometimes unusual music will play like the battle victory or chocobo themes.

Thanks to FO for the linkage. Now I'll definitely have to find something that ISN'T about Kainazzo.

May not mean anything, but burning down Mist does change some things. If you fly back to Baron, Tellah is standing there in the throne room. If you talk to him, he says some Kainazzo stuff but you don't fight. The guards next to the king say one of Cid's lines, IIRC. Burning Mist also seemed to help set something up for the Anna death scene in Damcyan.

Edit: Tellah is also in Mysidia for no reason.

If you walk into a treasure chest using walk through walls, the screen does that blurry transition thing, like you're changing locations, but it happens about three or four times and you generally end up in the inaccessible area at the northwest of Baron town. By walking into the edge of the screen from there, you won't always go to the overworld. The screen will transition, usually bringing you right back to that weird part of Baron. Either by going different directions or just random chance, I've made it to all kinds of random areas in the game, including those glitched out ones I posted before.

Walking into some of the decorative inaccessible doors in the Tower of Babil can cause the same sort of thing to happen, except sometimes I would be brought to the blacksmith or the town by the Sealed cave instead of Baron.

There's one door in Babil that makes this weird sound effect happen and parts of the room start to change. I'll post that one later.
