Crawl and I were at a park for most of the day. After we ate dinner, we decided to take one last walk before going home. Shortly after walking onto the chosen
trail, I heard Crawl say, "What is that??" He pointed ahead, and up the road a few feet was a large white bird running forward with somewhere between
7-10 smaller brown birds running after it.
My first thought was duck, goose, or pheasant, but as I got closer I could clearly see the wattle. It was a mother wild turkey with a brood of chicks. That's the first we've ever seen a wild turkey in a park, so it was amazing enough to see one, but even more amazing to see one with babies.
