Here are some older (but more specialized) threads on dead celebrities:
Death comes in threes. (Including Heath Ledger and Bobby Fischer) Celebrities who died strange deaths (mostly people who died a longer time ago) |

I actually think that Tyler's idea to have a general topic for this subject is a good idea. The reason I never mentioned it when Charleton Heston died is
because I didn't particularly want to have a separate topic on the forums for every celebrity that bites it.
Oh my God, they found Tom.

Oh, man! Stan Winston is dead!
He was the guy who did a lot of the special effects for Terminator 2, Aliens, Jurassic Park, Predator... He wasn't even that old. Only 62. |

And now the circle of CG takeover will be complete. =(

I've said before that Jurassic Park is still one of the best examples of using CG. One interesting thing about it is that the movements for the CG
dinosaurs were created by puppeteers who before Jurassic Park worked with "go motion" and models.
See how your opinion ruined Christmas for everyone!

George Carlin is dead!
He wasn't that old, either; only 71. I was about to say that death has come in threes, but now I'm not sure who the third person would have been. Bo Diddley was too long ago. |

How close together do they need to be? They were all within the same month.

If there's anyone you'd think would live forever, it's George Carlin.
Oh my God, they found Tom.

They'll be re-airing the first episode ever of Saturday Night Live, which George Carlin hosted, in tribute.

Estelle Getty is dead. She was 84. That means she was in her 60s when she was on Golden Girls, playing Sophia Petrillo, who
was in her 80s.

Isaac Hayes and Bernie Mac died, and Paul Newman has just weeks to live. Looks like death really does come in threes.

What the heck? Bernie Mac wasn't even old. He was just barely 50.

I found out Bill Melendez died. He was a Mexican-American animator who started out working for Disney, but then went on to make various TV specials, especially
the Peanuts and Garfield ones. And he provided the voices for Snoopy and Woodstock in the Peanuts specials, but FO probably knew that.
