Phew! I got all 195 countries.

We tried the Lion King voices together. FO said, "It's not Rob Benson; he's the Beast". I typed in "Benson" anyway, and it was
accepted ... as Robert Guillaume. That's a weird easter egg.

Here's where I am on the Periodic Table now.
I noticed that the most missed element is Meitnerium. More than the Uuo elements? But apparently there are patterns to those, so that might make them easier to memorize. |

An element has been named "copernicium".

Didn't do too well on Time's Top 100 Television Programs .
I missed some really obvious ones, like the Office, the X-Files and Arrested Development. I don't like that list just for including any reality TV shows at all, especially Survivor and fucking American Idol. I was surprised to see Freaks and Geeks on there, though. That's also kind of a weird list. They left off some really highly praised shows like Babylon-5, but then have weird choices like Leave it to Beaver, Pee-Wee's Playhouse and... Jimmy Neutron? The hell? Even if they wanted to have more animated shows, the best they could think of was one of the most formulaic cartoons in existence? They probably chose it because they thought it was the first 3-D animated show... which it wasn't. Also, "the Superbowl (with commercials)." I'm not a real big sports fan, but I'm starting to get annoyed with people who say, "Oh yeah, I just watch it for the commercials." |

I guess they didn't want to have more than one Star Trek show, but TNG and DS9 are totally better than Battlestar. Especially if they're talking about
the old Battlestar series.

Pee-Wee's Playhouse was really popular in its heyday. It wasn't even canceled because it lost popularity, it was canceled because of Paul Reubens's
arrest in an adult film theater.

I had a complete brain fart today on the third Indiana Jones movie. Indiana Jones and the Holy Grail? Indiana Jones and the Cup of Christ?
States in alphabetical order was a decent quiz. "Of the three ways in which men think that they acquire a knowledge of things--authority, reasoning, and experience--only the last is effective and able to bring peace to the intellect." -Roger Bacon |

I got 100% on the cartoon one. I was doing pretty well with the alphabetical states one until I had a massive brain-fart about halfway through.

I also got 100% on the cartoons. The only one I had any trouble whatsoever on (and even then it only took me about five seconds to hazard a guess) was...
...which is also the most frequently missed. The Fanboy in Me: I went into the "50 Greatest Comic Book Characters" one, immediately typed in "Prime", and when he didn't show up decided not to bother. |

I got 100% on cartoons, too. I wonder what the age of the average sporcle user is. Maybe it's closer to mine than I would have guessed. 80's, and
'90's cartoons are all guessed with high accuracy. I'm surprised ATHF is so low. I'm also surprised that I knew Invader Zim (I've never
seen an episode). I'm really surprised Space Ghost is so low -- sure, the original cartoon is obscure, but what about Cartoon Planet and Coast to Coast?
I am most familiar with Captain Caveman (the least answered one) through the Flintstone Kids show in the '80's. TaroSH wrote:For that one, I was pretty surprised that #3 was ranked above #4 and #5. Or that #3 was high at all. I was only aware of that character though the not-very-well-received movie, which I don't think I even realized was based on a comic book before that quiz. Okay, I got over my fan rage and tried that quiz, despite the fact I probably couldn't name 50 comic book characters much less the 50 they were thinking
of. I got maybe a third (and I wasted about a minute trying to figure out how the hell to spell "Rorschach"), then gave up. About half the characters
on the list I either didn't know about or didn't know anyone cared about.
And yeah, #3 was a major "buggah-wuh?" |

Ok, the TV Guide's 50 Top Cartoon Characters is REALLY messed up. What the heck is a Gerald McBoingBoing, and why is it ranked so high, or on the list at
all? Of course, it IS TV Guide.

Okay, that one needs the image hints like in the most popular cartoon one.
As for "Gerald Mc. Boing-Boing"...
