This may be old to some of you- these were apparently originally posted several years back, but the site was closed due to bandwidth costs. Some are really funny. Love the Drive D and a half, and the AOL one. |

i think this should be fairly common. might be caused by a virus or spamware. most (fairly intelligent) users never install any kind of anti-virus, firewall, and/or anti-spyware, until they get something as annoying as that. i think i only learnt my lesson in the '97 when a classmate passed me a floppy with material he took from the internet. i didn't have an internet connection. i think i only had an outdated virus scanning program, F-prot. i think most OSs come with firewalls these days. anti-virus and anti-spyware software ought to be installed or packaged with every single computer ever sold(unless opt-ed out by the buyer) to protect themselves and everyone who uses the com or connects to it.
