That's so crazy and ridiculous, it's almost impossible to comment on.
Okay, here are some things from the full article. Sony is actually pinning their hope for the first PS3 Platinum title on this game. An unfinished demo. Not even the full game. Their greatest hope. I don't know if that's a comment on how sad things are for modern games, or for the PS3 in particular, or what, but sheesh. What would really be sad would be if the game did become a smash hit. When I first read the title, but not the article, I was thinking, "Well, PC games have been doing that for years." So, I wondered if there was some way to cheaply upgrade to the real game when it comes out, like a patch for a PC game. The article didn't mention anything about that -- it does indeed seem like you'd be paying $40 for a demo, and that's it. Of course, one person in the comments has to say, "You can't complain about this until you play the game!"
See how your opinion ruined Christmas for everyone!

IGN gives it an 8.5 and fans say that you get almost as much content as a full racing game for $40.00
Nobody seems to be commenting on the fact that you have to pay another $60.00 when the full game comes out. It's not like you can just throw in another $20.00 to buy the rest of the content at that time. Well, I'm sure Sony could have implemented something like that, but they obviously won't give consumers a break if they're perfectly happy to be buying a large portion of the game twice. |
