No new game progress, although I probably will play some more Mario tonight. I do think it's very good, my favorite of the 3D Marios at this point (around 20 stars collected). It plays more like one of the 2D games than I really thought possible. You're sacrificing some of the fun of exploration that was present in Mario 64 and Sunshine (once you pick a star from the level select, you're pretty much on a set path to that star), but I think it's worth it to see the gameplay go back to it's roots somewhat.
Watching DBZ on DVD has been a mixed experience. Everything from the beginning of the show up to about 25% of the combined Namek+Frieza sagas was recently redubbed. The dub sounded good and was pretty accurate when I compared it to the subtitles. Very little censorship, next dimension stuff, heck, etc. But then at that 25% point, it switched to dubbing that was done years ago when the voice actors were still in the early stages of learning those characters, and it was very awkward. The dialogue also varies much more from the supposedly accurate subtitles, sometimes wildly.
It's weird having the dialogue be censored while the animation is not, so there's this sometimes unnaturally tame dialogue combined with visuals featuring copious amounts of blood and gore.
