Why do people think Tina Fey is funny? If you're a fan of 30 rock, do your thing, but please explain to me how it's funny! For years people said SNL wasn't funny. Now in those years I was usually out on Saturday nights, at various night clubs and bars and stuff, and so I didn't watch SNL. When I did here somrething about it, it usually was my friend's saying it wasn't funny, and the news media talking about Tina Fey, a writer for the show turned Actor on the show. When I finally got out of the club scene and actually watched SNL for the first time in years, it sucked. Hard. Tina Fey wasn't funny. and if she had a hand in writing the crap I saw, that made the show not funny. Now all the same people who used to tell me SNL sucked ,like it again. Funny thing how Tina Fey left the show around that time.......... Funny. But now there's 30 rock. I watch The Office, and last season 30 rock was always on after The Office. It was a freaking train wreck. every joke, AND I MEAN EVERY joke was predictable. Predictable in what the characters do, predictable in the punchline, and predictable that every joke WAS set up-punchline style. An Example of a type of joke in 30 rock and I'ts predictability as follows: Guy#1: let me do the talking when we get in there, just keep your mouth shut. Guy#2: OK, no problem Door opens and the two guys walk in the room and then.................. If you guessd that Guy #2 starts blabbing something he should not have, congratulations! You just finished a joke you've heard 1000 times before. Or as I like to call it, Every joke ever on 30 Rock. they literally had on the season premiere a character who gained a lot of weight in the off season, who was walking to a meeting with another character and asked her" do you think i gained to much weight?" The other character replied"i don't think anyone will notice" then she opened the door to the meeting room and................. can you guess what happened? I bet you can. 30 rock sucks.

I'd probably watch it if I were the sort of person to watch TV. It certainly didn't seem bad. Of course, I hate people telling me that something I find funny... isn't funny. Like I've seen people practically yell on forums that Family Guy isn't funny because random humor isn't funny. Excuse me? Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	For as much as I keep hearing that Family Guy's humor is "random", from what I've seen of it, it doesn't really seem all that "random" to me. Every episode basically follows this formula: Typical sitcom plot that stops every now and then to parody some pop-culture thing. I guess that's where the "randomness" comes from because it's a "random" pop-culture thing, but it's still a basic formula that ties it all together. Freakazoid had a lot of humor that really was random and I daresay did it better. The plots didn't usually follow any formulas and oftentimes the episodes were a bunch of random sketches thrown together. I have noticed that a lot of the jokes are set up and pay off the same exact way. The characters will talk about something for a few moments, and then someone delivers the last line of the conversation. Then either exactly what that person says happens, or the exact opposite of what that person says happens. I also find Alec Baldwin's presence a little distracting. www.flyingomelette.com

TV inertia. I might not watch it on its own. Even now I don't know if I can say too much about it. But every once in a while it does something that seems kind of clever. Like, one tired thing is how black people can say the n-word but white people can't, but 30 Rock put a spin on it by looking at it from the perspective of a black guy who acts more white.
