After finishing the Preacher series awhile back, I decided to read the first three trades of the Marvel Max imprint Punisher series written by Garth Ennis.
I'm really liking it so far; much moreso than the new War Journal.

Yeah. Those are great. The characters get a little similar after awhile though.

I do like his Nick Fury, though. So over the top. Started reading his The Boys, too. I know it's kind of a rip of the concept of Watchmen, but it's so
exaggerated and violent in its anti-superhero tone that it feels unique to me still.

I'll have to check that out

Read the 'zero' issue of Streets of Glory, where Ennis does just a straight up western. A bit, well, boring. Maybe it'll get better.

Just finished the Barracuda story arc. Still good. On a side note, the new War Journal more or less blows. Matt Fraction cannot write the character of the
Punisher for the life of him. Just has no handle on it.

Read Man of Stone, the 7th trade paper back in the Punisher series. Touched back on a couple of characters that have been around since the Mother Russia arc
(volume 3) in repeated villainous capacities. Still good. Way better than the War Journal story arc that ended with yesterday's issue, which blew.

Matt Fraction wouldn't happen to be the guy that made the Punisher the new Captain America, would he? Or was that a collective Marvel decision?

Yes, he's the one who made the Punisher Captain America, with Marvel's approval... and I thought it turned out terribly.
