I'm getting an Xbox 360 Core System ordered for me! I'm so surprised and thrilled about it. I was starting to think I'd never be able to get a new game system again. I'm just totally excited. It's a bundle, so it comes with a few games and a memory card (cause this version doesn't have the hard drive).

I got some birthday money from my grandparents so I bought some Bruce Springsteen albums and Broken by Nine Inch Nails.
I was tempted by the Famicom designed Game Boy Micro for about ten seconds before I decided not to be a complete shithead.  |

Picked up XIII for the PS2. I knew full new it is not a particularly good game all along, but for $8 brand new, why not? A friend of mine also gave me Wetrix for the N64 a few days back.

Buying a new computer and getting the Dell fixed has pretty much put the kibosh on me buying any new games or DVDs for a while, especially since I don't even know if I'm going to be employed in a month or two.
Doesn't really matter to me. I've got so many DVD's from that Media Play sale, it'll be a long time before I've watched through all of them. And I wasn't really interested in getting any more games except the GBA version of A Link to the Past, but I'm not really worried about that. I don't desperately need a portable version. And besides, I was actually thinking about something related to that... It's a shame that Nintendo was so hung up on gimmicks, like the multiplayer capabilities of the GBA. Because I'm pretty sure they thought the Four Swords mode of the GBA Link to the Past was their idea of "improvement" or "bonus" for the game, but I had a better idea - I would have liked to have seen a harder second quest, a la, the Ocarina of Time Master Quest or the original Legend of Zelda's second quest. Maybe with an altered overworld so they could put the dungeons in different locations and/or dungeons with different layouts, harder monsters, new bosses, and new puzzles.

I bought Resident Evil DS yesterday afternoon. I can't stand shopping at GameStop. When I got their last copy, they reminded me that I "really should have pre-ordered it," and then handed me a long list of DS games I should also pre-order before trying to sell me a subscription to Game Informer. I'd hate to be an employee at a place like that.

Last game I bought was Harvest Moon: Back to Nature for the Playstation because it was, a) cheap and b) will only be my second experience with a Harvest Moon game. I didn't like the SNES one, but I'm willing to give the series another try. Maybe I can figure out why people like it so much and why there are so many sequels. Then again, I never did figure out that same question about the Army Men games. Or the Tomb Raider games. The Omni-Wonder of the Universe has spoken ~cackle ~cackle |

I got Ratchet & Clank for the Playstation 2 and Puyo Pop Fever for the DS. I also got a skin for my Gamecube. It is styled after the artwork (to be specific, it is the one where all the characters are on it) for Super Smash Bros. Melee. I also got a "I beat your mom at Mario Kart" T-Shirt with Wario on it.

Yesterday, I went to Noble and Gamers Annonymous.
At Noble I got the Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition for Genesis, and Aero the Acrobat for SNES. At Gamers Anonnymous I got Kung Fu Heroes 3 and Power Quest. I also got this Disgaea media disc that has, like, 400 pieces of assorted artwork on it, ranging from character designs to scenery. Today I got some movies Circuit City was having a sale on, the DMC3 Special Edition, Indigo Prophecy (Xbox), a book on raptors (the birds, not the dinosaurs), and a Penny Arcade compliation book. When shopping for raptor books, there's only two rules I have; it must have lots of pictures in as many poses and angles as possible, and if it absolutely must have kites. Any book that claims to be a raptor encyclopedia and doesn't have kites can go to Nature Reference Hell. |

Not a game and not a purchase, but I found the new Stephen King book "Cell" at the library.
There's also an excerpt from another upcoming novel of his, "Lisey's Story" at the end, in his handwriting. |

Got a Lexmark printer today. Nothing fancy, but it prints really nicely and came with both black and color cartridges. I've been having to head to the library to print important documents lately, and it's out of the way, you have to pay by the page, and you're on a 30 minute time limit if you get a PC with internet access.
This is the first time I've had a printer since we borrowed a laser jet one back in 2000 or so. |

When we went to the DMV today, I found out that there was an EB right next door, so I had to go inside and look around. That's the first time I've been in a videogame-only store in YEARS. I knew I shouldn't have done it, but I bought the last copy of Grandia III. I'll have to sell it once I'm done because that's too much money for one game.
The guy at the register seemed to know a fair amount about games and I didn't hear him say anything incorrect to the other customers. |

I got Rocky 3 and 4.
I also got this super nice manga drawing book. Has a shitload of poses, character body styles (fat, slim, super ripped), some scenery, and even shows how to draw kat-girls. It only cost $6 (the price tag was $8 and I had a 25% off coupon) The only thing I'm not happy with is both copies they had were damages; one had a hole in the back that looked like it was done with a pencil (i.e. one big booboo), and the other had ridging and a few bends (i.e. several little booboos). I went with the latter, because a mint copy would have eventually looked like it (While I do care for my books as well as I can, wear and tear does happen. One drawing book I have has the clear film on the cover starting to come off the side of it) |
