Now, I picked the Ipod Mini instead of the other typ[es because 4GB is plenty of space for me... and that let me save $50. Really, what am I going to do with the 20GB model? I like the look of the mini a little better, too.
The thing just works great. I charged it for a few hours, installed the drivers or whatever was on that disc, and was ready to go. It automatically transferred everything I had on itunes, including the playlists exactly as they were, to the ipod. That's a lot of songs, and it only took about a minute.
The screen is a nice size, most of the time fitting the entire song name and artist without scrolling. There's a backlight option, but that'd probably drain the battery pretty severely.
It takes any model headphones and sound quality is excellent. Incredibly small player and very light. It's got a couple of extra features, like some simple games, a thing where you can organize numbers and addresses, you can read text files, etc.
My only real concern is battery life... I've heard about 8 hours, but I'm going to prepare for less. Charging is easy enough though, and it never bugged me much with the GBA SP.
