The worst cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit ever
In a tough competition (seriously; check out Paul Anka's version for more horribleness), Tori Amos's version cinches it. What the fuck? It's like she didn't even bother to acknowledge the original version at all. When I first heard that she did a cover, I thought she'd at least pound out the piano chords. Instead, she basically just made a generic piano song in her usual generic style, sang with her annoying "meowing" vocals, and only used the original's lyrics -- which she delivers without any emotion. The best cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit ever It's by Nirvana. But they're at Top of the Pops, where the musical performances are mimed, not played. So, Krist (the bassist) just throws his bass around, clearly not playing it, Dave (the drummer) occasionally just pumps his fists in the air, Kurt just lackadasically fake strums his guitar, clearly not to the rhythm of the music, not making any chord shapes with his hand, sometimes not doing anything when the guitar should be played, and generally looking like Roy Orbison. He also sings in the style of a '30's radio crooner. |

Just some weird stuff. Might not actually be funny:
YouTube Poop A video of a few clips of the Super Mario World show, edited nonsensically. I guess someone could say it's like that "over 9000" DBZ Youtube video, but this one is made from more pieces, and is more obviously weird. Whitest Kids You Know Peeing Sketch This one is kind of funny (though it has no punch-line). However, almost all of the other sketches from this show are terrible! There was one that was recommended where a guy does a "Supersize Me" thing, but instead of with McDonalds, he only drinks whiskey for a month. The first thirty seconds of that one might have been mildly amusing (although I was bothered by the nagging feeling that the guy thought he was actually making satire), but then it just drags on interminably. It might have been funny again if he died after the second day. Then I saw another one about the British trying to have a polite battle during the revolutionary war. Now, every single person that learns about that old-school style of fighting thinks it's strange and nonsensical.
