I'm taking a break from Halo to work on this game. I haven't played too much yet, but I'm liking it quite a bit so far. The first hour or so has been more entertaining than Halo was during that time.
There's been a much bigger emphasis on puzzle solving and getting through different locations than on combat, so far. Reviews have said the same thing, too. So far, it's been pretty simple stuff to get you used to the controls. You have to run along walls to get past certain places by holding a button. You can jump from wall to wall, run up walls, jump from column to column, etc. I've now acquired the ability to rewind time as well, which is used when you miss a jump, or if you take too much damage and want to try something again.
You have limited uses of rewind, and get more by defeating enemies. Combat is more or less button mashing, but there are a couple of attacks that you're told how to do. And blocking is apparently quite useful.
Graphics are very nice. As far as detail, probably not as clear as Halo. But the style is much more interesting.
Apparently, this version of the game has unlockable Prince of Persia, and Prince of Persia 2. I assume you have to beat the main game before you can play them, though. There's also a making of the game feature that I haven't looked at.
You can't save wherever you want in this game, but I've been given the chance every 20 or so minutes so far. And when you lose, you don't even go back that far. Which is good, as doing puzzles over and over every time you miss a jump or something would have been annoying.
