I had a dream last night that I woke up and found another calico cat in our house. At first, it was all dark and hard to see, but I could swear I was seeing
three cats instead of just two. When I turned on the light, there was indeed a third cat - a calico that looked different than Caramel, but was all scrawny and
raggedy looking like she was when we first took her in. My concern wasn't so much that there was a third cat in the house as the fact that I didn't
know how it got in, and I figured however it managed to get in, our own cats could likely use that method to get out.
The dream never resolved how it got inside before I woke up.

I had some weird dreams last night but I think I waited too long to post about them. I remember part was in a park, with some kid's playground stuff,
including (fictional) little "huts" that you could go in and use as a playhouse. They might have been much bigger on the inside than the outside
(APC syndrome).
Then there was some fight against a frozen banana? And it started to thaw. Which for some reason made me think of dead bodies thawing. Which of course meant they were becoming zombies. So part of the dream involved fighting zombies. I don't know if it really made such little sense, or if I can't remember it. |

I was napping and had a dream.
There was some hotdog place at the mall, and for some reason we were planning on getting a bunch of hotdogs for Christmas. We stopped in a few days before Christmas just to get some regular hotdogs for lunch before the big Christmas dinner. It seemed like the guy in the store was the only person in the mall and he was busy getting together holiday hotdog orders. But he didn't really know what was going on because he told us something about how he couldn't tell us what was in anything. Even in the dream, I told whoever I was with to get the turkey dogs. Then I had to pick someone up. I think it was someone I used to work with a few years ago and haven't seen since. I had to drive through a neighborhood of those roads with the division in the center -- maybe parkways? |

I just had a dream that I was in Russia on spy business, and I had an assortment of little spy gadgets that were about an inch cube but could inflate. We were
at a Russian opera when our cover was blown and we had to escape. We ran down an alley and I pulled out one of my gadgets, which expanded to an inflatable
boat with a remote controlled hot air balloon above it.
The Russian Prime minister was furious and wanted us found, but we were flying just over mountains, way below the radar (I was thinking of Dr. Strangelove here) It turned out the opera was fake, and afterwards they had a briefing about what happened in it, in terms of story, so people wouldn't go home and all tell their relatives different things. |

I was dreaming this morning, and right before I woke up, I was going through a big apartment, and found Caramel and Pepper. And they had turned themselves
(intentionally, as a game) into pastries. The Caramel one was orange colored and the Pepper one was like chocolate. I could hold one in each palm. Even as
pastries they were moving and playing.
Sometimes my dreams are boringly literal, but I don't get where this one came from. |

I had a dream last night that I was an old man, and I was some sort of Master Curry Chef in some Arabian-inspired kingdom. Even though I was in the dream, it
actually revolved around my young apprentice, a red-haired rapscallion who looked an awful lot like Honen Calhoun. I was giving him his final challenge, after
which he would graduate from his apprenticeship. He had to create a curry dish for the entire royal family of the kingdom, and all their guards, servants, etc.
Showing a bit of ingenuity, the young apprentice make a huge curry dish by dumping a ton of curry powder into the royal pool. He passed the test and the
princess of the kingdom fell in love with him. ...Wait a second, I was in the dream and I didn't even get the girl? What the hell?
It was a very strange dream, easily one of the the strangest I've had in a long time.

Man, I had a weird dream that I was singing in a vocal arrangement recording of the entire Castlevania 2 soundtrack and it was going to be used in some
Castlevania movie. My feeling was that the whole thing seemed like a bad idea, and why I'd be there since I can't sing makes no sense at all, but it
actually sounded quite good in the end results. Then we went to see the movie at the theater but it got preempted, which doesn't make any sense either but
that's what happened, because Obama had to make some emergency speech about a war starting in some country I had never heard of before. Then a plane flew
over my house and it woke me up.

Aren't they making a real Castlevania movie? Damn, that's gonna suck. I hope they use music from the games, though. That would be cool.

I was playing a game called "Super Smash Bros. Brawl," but it was more like a 3D platformer with levels that looked like they belonged in F-Zero and
with half a dozen Sonic characters. Then Crawl, who was watching, commented that it was strange that the game takes place before Sonic's usual
"post-apocalyptic setting." Which confused me, because I didn't remember any apocalypse in the Sonic games, and I woke up while trying to figure
that out.
I had another dream that I was visiting a nearby mall and looking at the entrance of a jewelry store, which had a (locked) glass door and glass panels surrounding the door. One of the uppermost panels was missing, though, and I saw a young girl leap right through the hole and run off into the closed store. I figured she was a gymnast because I didn't think anybody else could perform such an athletic feat, and I further surmised that there was a big game of tag going on in the mall so I'd better get running. At that point the mall turned into a school and I tried to flee into a courtyard, but the girl, who had presumably been tagged "it" during this time, was clinging onto the door frame just above the courtyard entrance waiting for me. She jumped down and tagged me it. The rules of the game required me to close my eyes and then count to thirty, after which I found I had wandered into the courtyard where a gigantic tree (rather like the Great Deku Tree, but I could run around it) stood. Before me stood some dude with a black goatee and those thick-rimmed 70s glasses, so I tagged him and he began to count. I tried to be clever and hide behind the tree from him, but that turned out to be a dumbass mistake because the first thing he did was check behind the tree, and he caught me with little effort. I tagged him back the next round (he was just standing around), and then decided it was unsafe to stay in the courtyard any longer. While he counted to thirty I dashed inside, found a staircase, bolted up to the third story, and exited out onto a balcony. This was a dumbass hiding place too, since it was a dead end. After a minute or so, Mr. 70s Glasses walked out onto the balcony as well and slowly walked in my direction, as if to taunt me about my predicament. I got the last laugh, though, because I awoke before he could tag me.

I dreamt that there was a sequel to Magic of Scheherazade for the SNES, made around the late 90s and released in Japan only. This was bizarre, both
because I've never played Scheherazade and thus knowing a sequel wouldn't make much of an impact on me; and aside from the 2 on the title and
people simply saying it was a sequel to the game, there didn't appear to be any other ties to the original.
And I didn't even get playing the game! I was merely reading a thread about it here with a YouTube video showing the best parts. The graphics and gameplay were a lot like Legend of Mana (another game I haven't played!), and even the playable characters were much like those of the series - I think there was a robot a little like Gun Meca, but the rest were generic anime guys. The scenery was lovely and detailed, but I've forgotten most of it now; the only part that stuck with me was a swamp with a bare, spindly tree with three human eyes on it. There wasn't even a hint of Arabian themes anywhere, though. |

I think I had a lot of dream stuff last night, but I only remember a minor detail. Some narrator said something about how the ancient Greeks had 6 physical
perspectives they recognized, although the highest one eventually was forgotten or fell into disuse. There was an epic poem where a dog spoke, but the voice
came from below the ground, and the poets own family didn't know if that was intended to be satire.

Last night's dream was wacky. I was in a house which was haunted. There was some guy there trying to convince others that it was haunted, Crawl's
R-Type avatar and FO were there but weren't believing in it either. Next thing I see is a cat on a chair which suddenly levitated across the room.
Next thing I know I'm playing Fist of the North Star, only instead of sitting next to the TV I'm kind of standing right next to Kenshiro. I was up against Jagi and did a 50 hit combo which consisted of nothing but low kicks. Jagi tried to use a special technique, but...everyone's special techniques were stored away in boxes of A4 paper that needed to be opened first. So Jagi opened up one, but the dream ended there sadly. |

FO and I were eating salads at a restaurant when everyone noticed that the salads had little jewels in them. One of ours in fact had a large pearl, and
someone else had a large diamond. Then a pair of criminals entered the restaurant. Apparently, the salad thing was some sort of plan for smuggling the
jewels, and they were there to take them back. They ordered everyone out. However, as we were leaving, while the criminals were busy loading up the jewels,
FO double backed and grabbed the pearl.

I had a dream last night that my mom took me to get my haircut at a hardware store. One of the workers was helping a couple with something, but when my mom
came up and told her I needed a haircut, she took out a huge pair of black sheet cutters and lead me back to sit on an excercise bike instead of a chair. The
dream ended before she started cutting my hair, though.

I had a nightmare about my own characters and this is the first time in a very long time I've had a dream about them that didn't seem like I was
watching them on TV or in a videogame. Usually when I have dreams with my characters, it's always that someone made a cartoon out of them and they totally
fucked it all up, or they're fighting something in a videogame and I can't tell what's going on.
Anyway, I dreamed that Honen was fired from the Grimmora University and as he was leaving, he told Nucleo that they were now enemies again, and Nucleo was upset because it wasn't his fault. Deuce wanted to go with Honen and at first he tried to run away without her, but she caught up to him. He was piloting a flying machine that looked like a miniature version of the Megallon and when he saw Deuce was going after him, he allowed her to come along and somehow she ended up onboard with no explanation. (There was also no mention of or explanation for Zumo's whereabouts in the dream.) Honen said he wanted to go to Oni Island because it was the only place that he could go, so they ended up there. They went to the village that had been burned down by Zara's army years ago and discovered that some Onis had survived the attack and were attempting to rebuild. There were also some humans there, too, for whatever reason. They were happy to see that Honen had returned and immediately decided that he and Deuce should be their king and queen. At first, Honen felt like he was too much of a failure and turned down the offer, but Deuce convinced him that the Onis needed his help, so he eventually accepted. He taught the Onis how to rebuild their houses into better houses and how to irrigate their crops. He built a palace for himself and Deuce that he said could transform into a battlestation if they ever got attacked. In the first really off-the-wall moment in this dream, the palace turned out to be exactly the one from Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon. If you've played that game, you might know that the Peach Mountain Gang transforms the emperor's Japanese castle into an English castle with a ray beam. That was how the castle transformed into a battlestation in the dream - except without any ray beams. When it was a normal castle, it looked like the Japanese one. When it was a battlestation, it looked like the English one. There was a scene inside the castle where it seemed like for all he'd done, Honen was still not feeling very happy for some reason. Then in the dream's second off-the-wall moment, he wakes up on a beach at the edge of Oni Island and tells Deuce he just had a dream that he and her became King and Queen of the Onis. Deuce tells him that it must have all been a dream because it's just him and her there. Honen said he was going to take her to an abandoned airbase (this is something that exists in the RAU canon, but I haven't mentioned it anywhere before yet), but they'd have to break the barrier the magic users put around it. Deuce asked how they'd do that and he said he didn't know and they were walking towards it when the dream ended. This took awhile to type all of this out, but it seemed like all of these events happened rather quickly in the dream. |

Hmm... maybe you could use some of that in the RAU Gallery? You'd have to fix some things, of course.

One thing weird about it is that Honen's personality was incredibly consistent. I do think that's what he tends to be like. Usually when my characters
are in a dream, their personalities either don't really come through in a big way (like a dream I once had where Nucleo was leading an army in a giant Lord
of the Rings-style battle ~ it's something I can picture him doing, but the dream only showed him fighting and nothing else he does), or they're messed
up (usually because the dream involves someone making a real cartoon with them and getting everything all wrong.) I guess Deuce was consistent, too, but she
didn't come across as vividly as he did. It's like I knew she was there, but I couldn't actually see her very much. Nucleo vanished after the first
part.
There's probably a reason I had that dream. #1, I've been working on a lot of drawings of those characters lately, and #2, I actually have thought of a storyline involving Honen and Deuce going to Oni Island for something, although it's not for the same reason as in the dream and it doesn't play out that way, either. |
