I had a couple of dreams last night. In the first one, a person looks out a window and sees a tower of ash looming in the sky, from the horizon to above his field of vision. A volcano had exploded, and it was too late to try to escape. All he could do was wait in his house and hope that when the ash sealed it, there'd be enough oxygen to survive. (And, I guess, that the ash wouldn't burn the house down). It turned out there wasn't too much ash deposited on his house and he was able to leave after the cloud had passed.
In the second dream, a bunch of businessmen were talking in an elevator. One of them accused another of being so unethical that he must have been Satan. Well, you can't have a thought like that in a dream without it being true, so he started growing horns. And the special effects in the dream were done by Ray Harryhausen.
The elevator was in a warehouse, so then these businessmen and Satan were trying to kill each other in a warehouse. A particular plot element was a gun that was supposed to be extremely powerful, but when anyone pulled the trigger, it did nothing, so they tossed it away. Satan had the thought that it was very important that he kill everyone, since if he was supposed to be Satan, he would need to do evil things like that. He grabbed the gun and thought for a second, and realized it must have been a special gun designed just for Satan and thus had a stronger trigger pull than usual. (He must have been like Randal Flagg, and after manifesting as Satan started with a blank slate) He pulled the trigger as hard as he possibly could, which cocked it. He reached into his supernatural self and found a little more, and it fired. It not only fired a bullet, but the bullet, once stopped, released a gas, so even a miss could be lethal.
After most of the people in the warehouse were dead, and the building was on fire, someone grabbed a phone and said, "You have to send help! There are people hurt and the place is on fire! We're at ..." Satan waited for that moment and killed her before she could name the address.
After making some posts in the morning, I went back to sleep and had one more dream. A bus was going to the bay. I had no idea such a bus route existed, but I figured what the heck and got on. After all, if there's a bus that goes out, there must be one that comes back.
However, I failed to take into consideration that the bus ride would take hours. Also, a storm was coming in. We were going past docks (not like in real life) and waves were splashing water into the docked boats.
All the while this was happening, there was some subplot about movie critics going on a junket for a Garfield movie, and how for the first time, for some reason, people were questioning the ethics of this.
