Crawl and I have been doing a lot of outdoor biking recently now that we both have folding bikes. (I'll post more about this in an upcoming reply.)
One of the most remarkable things that happened tonight wasn't during the bike ride itself. We were driving down a road past some farmland on the way to the park. We saw a Bald Eagle hopping around and pecking at something on the ground in one of the farm fields. It was close enough to the road to get a very good look at it - no mistaking it for anything else, it was a Bald Eagle.
I've seen Bald Eagles in the wild before, but they've always been in flight, at quite a distance. This is the first I've seen one on the ground in the wild.
Unfortunately, there's no real place to park around there, so we weren't able to get any pictures.
