I was reading through some of my old reviews, and while they are for the most part not as bad or embarrassing as I thought they might be, I do think I was overly harsh on a lot of them. Some of the games, like Magic Pengel, Kirby's Dreamland, and Spyro 2 I do like at least a little, and I don't think I made that clear enough. I think I was trying to seem smarter by being cynical and critical, but I think I took it too far in places. If I were to start writing reviews again, I think I would try to be more accurate to my own opinions and voice, instead of trying to be something I'm not.
I have been thinking of making Let's Plays and/or video reviews for a while, but it may be some time before I have the time and equipment required for that. Well, I have almost everything I would need to get started, but I don't really know what I'm doing.
I should also draw more. I have a tablet now and I should use it more than I do. That "drawings" section is nearly empty.
If I do start working on it again at some point, it will need a large overhaul. I might even just end up having links to places where individual things I've worked on, instead, with an archive of the old content. Again, it may be a while until I get time to do any of this.
But, looking over the old stuff, even as painful to read as some of it is, it does bring a sense of nostalgia.
