I'm pretty skeptical of these sorts of things. I'm not a heavy importer, but I've gotten some things, but none have really changed my life. I get the impression that what makes a lot of imports so attractive is simply "the grass is greener on the other side", or "you always want what you can't have."

Even of the imports I have gotten, many ended up being released here later in some shape or form anyway. Examples would be Gradius Gaiden (I think that's on the PSP), Final Fantasy 5, Castlevania Chronicles, and Rockman and Forte.

So, what are some things I even have?

I have Seiken Densetsu 3 and Star Ocean: Blue Sphere, which have not, to my knowledge, been released officially in America. I've heard some people say that you can enjoy a Japanese text-heavy game just as well even if you don't read or speak Japanese. I think I'd have to disagree with that. And although Seiken Densetsu 3 had a good reputation when hardly anyone played it, it seems like now I've heard more naysaying about it.

I also have Dodonpachi Dia Oh Jou (sp?), which I sometimes forget I even have ... because I have never played it! I thought I'd get the game while it was available, but I'm not aware of any [easy] way of playing Playstation 2 imports. I thought maybe I'd just eventually get a Japanese PS2, but I never did. I guess, strictly speaking, even Dodonpachi (which I have for the Saturn) is a sequel that was never released in America.
