I think Sparkster on the Genesis is terrible. Sparkster goes from chivalrous to a more blatant Sonic clone with a "'tude"; it's as though they made the sword as slow as mollasses just to make a powerup out of speeding it up; the bosses I've seen are all dire (nothing like what you'd see in just the first stage of RKA), and the stages aren't far behind. The password system is the most convoluted thing I've ever seen, just barely edging out the "collect 10 jewels, get a random item" system. I can get to stage 4 on that game, so maybe there's still something to see. I might hold out for something cool to happen and keep playing it. The music is really, really good.

I haven't played the SNES version in a long time, but from what I remember I liked it better than Genesis Sparkster, but still not as much as RKA.
