Yup, its real life Sailor Moon. =D If you don't have an interest for Sailor Moon then you can still be able to enjoy the episodes, you would just be falling over laughing at its overwhelming cheesiness. ^^;; I also find these episodes very interesting in the sense of how Japan expresses popular culture in their shows. Apparently, karaoke places are as popular in Japan as movie theaters are to us.

Yes the episodes are large (180-230 MB each), but that's how all downloadable anime episodes are. High quailty episodes are required so that the English subtitles are very easy to read. Just delete the episodes or burn them to a CD when you're done watching. Its a popular thing on the net to sub anime and Japanese live action shows, and then distribute them using BitTorrent. The place distributing the L.A. Sailor Moon episodes is just one of hundreds. Its not illegal because these shows have only been released in Japan.
