I picked up my Atari 2600 games at the Post Office today!

I got:

Stargate (aka Defender 2) - I remember this being very good on the 2600. I have Defender 2 for the NES, but I didn't really like it too much. I seem to recall the 2600 version being more fun.

Keystone Kapers - This is one of my top favorite Atari 2600 games. Last night I tried playing the version of it on Activision Classics for the PSX...And it's terrible! The colors are all wrong! I can't imagine how Activision could a) have screwed that up and b) not noticed it! Also, it just doesn't seem to play as smoothly...A lot of the games on that collection have glitchy problems, from what I saw.

Moonsweeper - The only one of these games I never owned before, but I got it because I hear it's good.

Astroblast - This was Mattel's version of the Intellivision's Astrosmash for 2600. I remember playing this years ago and thinking it was one of the better Space Invaders clones on the system.

Adventure - I think it's overrated, but I just wanted to own it again. Also, I've never seen the hidden programmers names and I want to see that.

Jr. Pac-Man - Actually, a very good Pac-Man game on the 2600 from what I remember.

Midnight Magic - A pinball game. I owned it once before, but don't really remember too much about it. But, eh, it was cheap.

Zaxxon - People seem to really hate this game on the 2600. I suppose it really wasn't much like the arcade or Colecovision versions, but I do remember liking it...

Indy 500 - I think this is a much better 2-player game than Combat. It's a racing game, as if you couldn't tell by the title.

"If you think that I don't know about the little tricks you've played
And never see you when, deliberately, you put things in my way
Well, here's a poke at you; you're gonna choke on it, too
You're gonna lose that smile, because all the while
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles"
