I'm convinced every dream has a meaning because of personal experience. Several years ago, through meditation, I've found what people refer to as "the back of your mind". There I find all the thoughts that I've given more attention to than with others. These are the thoughts that my mind chooses to base my dreams off of. Frequent meditations cause me to know the meaning of all my dreams. The meanings are not complex at all, they're simple and straight-forward. Some meanings are stupid things while others are trying to tell you something that's bothering you.

Frequently looking at that part of the mind does have its side effects. When I'm beginning to fall asleep, I hear voices. I eventually learned that those voices are from my memories. When our mind is relaxed and not focusing on any specific thought(s), its like the static of a television getting no signal. Each jumping spec represents a different thought and/or memory. The voices I'm able to make out are random pieces of conversations from my memory. Some are from real life conversations while most are memorable qoutes from movies or cartoons. I -love- cartoons and movies so this shows me that they leave quite an impression on my mind. These thoughts and memories jumping around eventually create my dreams once I fall into the deep stage of my sleep. If I don't meditate as frequently then I slowly begin to naturally ignore these voices when I'm about to fall asleep. I learned that this is one of the many things about our mind that we naturally ignore.
