I think I need to elaborate on and clarify what I mean by "the Decepticons not being there all along". Of course they were there, but what I mean is that I think the Transformers weren't always divided into Autobots and Decepticons, and I don't believe the Decepticons became evil because they were all part of a line of military hardware for the same reason that I don't believe the Constructicons didn't join Megatron willingly. Although I do think their alt modes influence their personalities and/or mannerisms to some degree, I think TF's are all sentient enough to choose which side they want to be on, and they aren't Autobot or Decepticon simply because they were made to be from the beginning. And I mean, c'mon, Soundwave was meant to be military hardware? And what about Autobots like Hound and Warpath? Were those supposed to be Consumer goods? Also, the Quintesson story makes it sound like the battle between the A's and D's began right after the Quints left, but there was supposed to have been a long "Golden Age of Cybertron" when there was peace. I suppose it still could have happened, even taking the Quint story into account, but it just seems like they either forgot that detail when telling it or retconned it.

Tracks: Are you pondering what I'm pondering, Raoul?
Raoul: I think so, Tracks...but what if Blaster won't wear the nylons?
