"FO tells me that a lot of TransFans consider Dark Awakening to at least be the best Season 3 episode, maybe even the best Transformers episode ever. "

BTW, I don't really know how many is "a lot". I've seen it mentioned here and there by some people as being their favorite episode of the show, and by others as being one of the better episodes of Season 3, (I even once saw a site with several pages devoted just to that episode), but I don't know how "unanimously" accepted that thought is, unlike say, "Call of the Primitives" which it seems a lot of fans really do like a lot.

Another thought that occurred to me...In the millions of years everyone lived on Cybertron, they not only forget about the Quintessons, but no one, during all of that time, finds any trace of their existence left on the planet. Yet, several episodes after everyone finds out about that, Daniel conveniently finds that chamber that leads to where the Quints banished their prisoners, purely by accident of course. Gotta love it.

One thing that might exonerate fans from having to believe the Quintesson theory is that Beast Wars definitely didn't subscribe to it. For whatever reason, the writers chose the "Primus" theory from the comics, instead.
