Still playing Morrowind. My character is at level 7, now. It's interesting that you don't level up simply by fighting enemies in this game. You have a set of major, minor, and miscellaneous skills when you start out. You have to use the major and minor skills and become more skilled at them in order to actually gain levels. You get different stat bonuses depending on which skills you advanced to gain that particular level. So sometimes leveling up can be by becoming more skilled with a sword (fighting) but it can also work by learning a skill like acrobatics, with no combat involved.

I'm a member of all sorts of groups, working on quests for all of them. The Mage guild quests have mostly been simple finding items tasks so far, but they're starting to get more complicated now. The Fighters Guild quest I'm on now actually conflicts with the Thieves Guild. I'm supposed to get an item for the fighters, but a Thieves Guild member has it. If I attack the person to get the item, I get kicked out of the guild and have to pay a big fine to get back in. There are ways around it, but it's still interesting.

The Thieves Guild quests have been the most fun so far, since there's so much sneaking around and deception involved. Problem is that my character isn't really well suited to such things and it's taken a while to build the stealth type skills up. They can be built up, though. Any character can do anything in the game... the starting capabilities are the only real differences.

I also did some wandering around and found some interesting abandoned ruins to explore. There's stuff like that scattered about the world, not necessarily related to any quests.
