I got my Albert Odyssey at Funcoland a long time ago. Apparently, the price has gone up, because I remember seeing copies on ebay for about that price, too. I do think $30 is too much for that game. It has some incredibly good music, and an entertaining translation, but the bad loading delays before and after battles and the fact that it's super-easy take away from it. Its battle system also doesn't offer anything that you haven't already seen in RPGs before.

That leaves me wondering a different question; should I snag it now when it's $30, or take a chance with it and wait - could go up, could go down.

I saw one go for $50 once... O_o

I haven't played enough of Darius Gaiden yet, but as for Dark Savior...I dunno. I'd definitely recommend it before Albert Odyssey or Virtual Hydlide, but it's not something I'd expect people to spend a fortune on. What is the average price it's going for?

There was a guy on Half.com who wanted about $13 for it ($10 for the game, $3 for shipping), but somebody snatched that one overnight or something :pissed

That's about how much it costs whenever it comes up on eBay.

How "cheap" is it, and what do you consider "cheap"? If it's like only $10 and you're that starving for Saturn games, I'd say go for it. It's not much of a game, but it does have some good music and hilariously cheesy opening and ending FMVs.

I consider $5 cheap, but that's about how much it's going for.

As for what I've been playing...

I've been seriously deprived of Action games lately; I just realized all I've been playing lately are RPGs...

But last night I was on Robotrek, and honestly could not figure out what to do with the crab. I threw eight Big Bombs at him, he STILL didn't die... and I realized I could run from the fight. I knew that was how you "defeated" the carnivorous trees in Phantasy Star IV and save Kyra (I remember fighting those things for an hour, swearing, then I looked up a walkthrough. Boy, was I embarassed when I read "Run from them"). But after I ran and left the room, I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do.

Fun Cat Fact of the Moment:

Dwight Eisenhower hated cats. He hated them so much that he banned them from the White House and ordered his staff to shoot any cats caught on White House grounds. :O
