After getting in some halfway decent Saturn games, I decided to hook the system and give them all a shot.

Panzer Dragoon - I'm so glad this works with that controller I got with NiGHTS. Games where you push down for up and vice versa only feel natural to me when it has a joystick or something like that. But I still had a couple of slight annoyances with this. First off is how limited the lives are. Two deaths and I have to start the entire game all over again? What the butt? And second, I can't find any way of avoiding/destroying those missles the first boss shoots at me.

Shining the Holy Ark - My favorite of the Saturn games I own so far. In interesting blend of Phantasy Star I (dungeon navigation, first person battle mode) and II (selecting what kind of monster you want to attack, but not which individual you want to attack), Shining Force (It's a Shining game, so duh it's got this in it), and Golden Sun (graphics look Golden Sun took them straight from here).

NiGHTS - Took a little getting used to. What scared me is that I kept getting Es and Fs, and that's all the people on the high score list got.

So, I've got some questions on some Saturn games I've had my eye on...

1) At the top of my wishlist is Albert Odyssey. FO said she paid $15 for it, and unless I misunderstood she suggested that's all I should paid for it. I've yet to see one of these on eBay go for less than $30 (except for one that was described as having a million and one scratches). Does anybody feel it's worth this much?

2) How much should I pay for Dark Savior and Darius Gaiden?

3) Should I avoid Virtual Hydlide no matter how cheap it is?

Fun Cat Fact of the Moment:

Dwight Eisenhower hated cats. He hated them so much that he banned them from the White House and ordered his staff to shoot any cats caught on White House grounds. :O
