Now I'm starting to feel really tempted to write an opinion post on R-Type Final... but I'll try to hold off on jumping the gun for just a little bit longer.

More facts: I have twelve ships unlocked. When you first start the game, most of the hangar is blacked out. However, not only are ships added to it, but blank spaces where ships you're about to earn are also added. If you click on them, you get hints for what you need to earn them. Two (so far) require passwords, the hints for which are supposed to be on Eidos's and Freshgame's websites (which I'll look up after making this post).

The game seems to have a note feature like Delta. Well, it does have a note feature; what remains to be seen, I guess, is what any optional goals are.

You know, I had wondered if Delta's note feature was perhaps inspired by GE007's cheat system. Or, maybe if they had more time to work on the game, if they'd have rewards for notes other than the notes themselves (the only rewards the game has are the POW ship, free play, Stage Select, and gallery pictures. There could have been lots of other simple extras, though. Even a museum where you could just look at the 3D enemies in the game, and rotate and zoom them, could have been nice)
